It also depends on the tires you want to use I think. I think the most clever solution would be to have wheels using same tires, so you can put those from the front axle on the mid axle once they are getting too old or once they are regrooved but you don't want to use regrooved tires on the front axle
There is definetly something to think about this way I'm sure, tire wear is such a thing in transport that it cannot be only a matter of personal taste Nice screenies my friend, as it has been for so many years
