NIce catch, Kraake. Also glad to see a yellow name commenting on this thread! :)

The heavy haul stacks: I would love to see the jeeps stacked on the trailer like that when riding empty. That is usually how the HH guys do it between loads.

Actually it's orange [ external image ]

Yeah, I am watching, but that does not mean anything. But when we need to connect some industry with some trailer, topics like this one help us a lot!

For sure. Even if this concept didn't take off, I'm glad it's providing a lot of reference material for you guys. Thanks, and thanks to Flight50 for providing SO MUCH STUFF! Haha. :-)

Thats what I do man, lol. The intent for this thread is to bring awareness. The saying is closed mouths don't get feed. So if we stay tight lipped, how will SCS know what we desire. The best thing we can do for the developers is to provide feedback. This is how they make 2 good games, great games.

Well, it is definitely needed, and I would say as much as they could make a DLC of it, with many varieties and types of cargo, I think the current variety of base game should be increased too. There's a lot of cargoes that can be transported on flatbed and lowboy trailers IRL that could be present. Maybe a DLC with special deliveries, like Rocket parts, Secret cargo, Military items, and a more common version for the base game, with bricks, cars, steel parts, with different volume (and so, different 3D model, size, etc).

Time for another round everyone. Let's do this shall we, lol. This round is based on train depots and future Intermodal terminals. Today, we visit

Train Equipment Cargo

Equipment 01 - on lowboy
[ external image ]

Equipment 02 - on slidedeck
[ external image ]

Equipment 03 - on lowboy
[ external image ]

Equipment 04 - heavy haul
[ external image ]

Equipment 05 - ignore the NEW tag. Only descent pic I could find
[ external image ]

Equipment 06 - sorry not in color
[ external image ]

Equipment 07 - sorry not in full color
[ external image ]

Railroad ties 01
[ external image ]

Railroad ties 02
[ external image ]

Railroad ties 03 - not in creosote and b-double
[ external image ]

Railroad ties 04 - can't find any on flatbed but these do exist
[ external image ]

Railroad ties 05
[ external image ]

Train Axles 01 - single row parallel with trailer
[ external image ]

Train Axles 02 - dual row parallel with trailer
[ external image ]

Train Axles 03 - multiple rows perpendicular with trailer
[ external image ]

Train on Trailer 01
[ external image ]

Train on Trailer 02
[ external image ]

Train on Trailer 03 - the forgotten end, lol

*These next photos are not on trailers but I am sure they could arrive to a train depot on one. These vehicles would be easy to deliver on single pivot lowboys or Double stepdeck trailers

Load on Lowboy 01

Load on Lowboy 03

Load on Lowboy 04

*With the above section in mind, this next section is to spice up the existing industry. Not cargo but the trucks (engine) can be cargo. Implement maintenance crew trains for a different touch. Imo, much better than the single engine locomotives in game now. More realistic to see a Hi Rail Brandt truck than a single locomotive*

Track Maintenance 01

Track Maintenance 03

Track Maintenance 04

Track Maintenance 05

*Last may or may not be a good idea but I will present it anyways. Can be hauled to metal scrap yard or recycling (if it makes the game)

These can actually drive on the road, so there is no need to transport them on a truck. The rail wheels fold up, and they use the regular wheels to drive on the road.

Yes they can drive on the road. That's why I added the *disclaimer* to be able to deliver them to a depot on a flatbed. If a truck is to be delivered from Phoenix and needs to go to Seattle, I doubt that truck would be driven that distance.

Lol. You good man. Nice big loads you added. See, we so need stepdecks and double step decks. I think they go hand in hand with lowboys and standard flatbeds. Whether this thread is more or less reference or if we could actually get a dlc from it, I hope that SCS can land a licenced trailer manufacturer that offers all three flatbed types.

Imagine all 3 trailers....licenced which each trailer having 6-8 totally diiferent loads with 2-3 variations of that load. Man there is no way on Earth that dlc wouldn't be in my library. The hardest part would be figuring out which one to haul for trailer ownership. Fontaine comes to mind in having all 3 but I am sure there may be others.

The 9% saying no to a dlc with all this disturbs me honestly. The effort SCS would have to go thru to do all this is tremendous and they should be compensated. Every reference pic we all add just puts things in perspective even more for the possibilities in ATS. I bet if someone gave them a code key, they'd feel guilty they didn't pay for it. Then again, some people just want everything free. They are entitled to say no of course, just like I am entitled to say its disturbing to want such a pack for free.
