That truck always had no backlight, it has break lights but no backlights

Technically, the vehicle in question is a Ford Raptor, and it's supposed to be like this. What you would see instead would be the marker lights that this truck is required to have because of it's width.
Here's a screen from the Raptor I helped make with Azorax Modding as an example.

So, it's kinda intentional until SCS changes the model a bit. What they could do is line the led strips with flares, but I imagine performance might drop with all those flares, even if not all of them emit light.
