Realistic Rain v3.7 for 1.38 [Update 29-07-2020]

I recommend read this thread carefully:

This mod does not modify the duration or probability of rain (game options you have for it)
This mod does not modify the fog, weather or sky textures.
You will find rains of different intensities that are controlled by the game or Weathers mods (not by this Mod)


Features

- Improved textures of raindrops from inside cabin (windshield & windows)
- Greater amount of raindrops from inside cabin (windshield & windows)
- Improved textures of rain
- Better windshield effects
- Improved water particles/spray of the wheels (Truck and AI Traffic)
- Realistic rain sounds from inside cabin & outside view
- Realistic & High quality thunders sounds
- Greater variety of thunder sounds (more than 15 different thunders sounds)

Note: Thunders will be heard in an interval between 1.5 to 5 seconds when seeing the 'flash' (lightning), simulating as IRL

The number of drops on windows will vary depending on the intensity and the direction of the rain

Compatibility

- 1.37.x - 1.38.x (DirectX11) - FMOD Support. Clean log
- Compatible with all DLC's and it should work with Mods Maps
- It should work fine with other Weathers/Graphics Mods, give it a try. But remember put RR above in priority.


Requeriments

- Must have high priority in Mod Manager. Realistic Rain ABOVE of Weathers/Graphics Mods, Mods Maps and Sound mods.

Sound level-transition of rain hitting in the cabin (Waiting for SCS Modding Wiki guides)

Questions

This mod affect perfomance - fps?
Rain in the game is usually affected in fps. In my case, I have not noticed big differences with Mod and without mod. If you have many AI traffic modifications and Mods Maps it may be affected. You can try ;)

I have gone back to 2.1 as I cant hear the rain hit the cabin in 2.2 for both ATS and ETS2 and thats with the louder sounds mod. prefered the louder rain sound.

Edit - back to 2.2...I increased the volume to 0.36 and put the pitch back to 0.99.... much more realistic for me.

@R_A_ZZ Did you place the mod in high priority?

Also, sometimes, the game saves something in the cache memory, and you need to add the Mod to the list, load the game, save and restart the game, try this.

loud rain was set to 0.32 pitch 0.85 in 2.2 so I raised them as I mentioned above... thanks I love this mod.

@R_A_ZZ : Thanks for the info. I will keep it in mind for future versions, I try to find a balance so that the rain and thunders are heard correctly but do not interfere in other Mods (Sound Fixes Pack, Traffic sounds cipinho etc ...)
