The problem with the Plains is the Rockies however... When you drive westbound on the I-70 east of Denver, you can see the Rockies from a great distance irl. But with the short drawing distance I'm afraid that you will not see the Rockies ingame, or you might see them popping up, which isn't great either.

All the states have diverse foliage the topography Iowa not really bad to drive the back-roads very much like Minnesota where I live which is 90 from Iowa border.

Far models are a thing now and SCS will do just as they did with Mt. St. Helens. They will bake the Rockies into the scene as realistically as possible. We are not there yet so we can't assume they haven't thought of it. I am sure SLC, will test this out.

Agree with @flight50 ! We have also Mt hood in Oregon, I think that is visible from us 97

@fra_ba. Yeah that one too. I think its off US-197 though. Its one of the two. But that one has a great view. If they do that for the Rockies, really for all mountain ranges, I think we will be good.

Yeah didn't remember in which raod I saw that mountain and it looks so good!

@fra_ba - Yeah, it's off of US-197. However, once US 26 (if at all) gets into the game, we'd be able to see it a lot more closer than we can now. When that day comes, it would be one of the most breathtaking moments in the entire game.

Folks, not sure if anyone has noticed this yet, but SOMEONE is working already on Glenwood Canyon (Check the name of this model on the map editor)
I think this mostly confirms Colorado is coming after Idaho:
