@ArzuMtz and @Marcello Julio. I sure hope 2020 brings Idaho and Colorado. Nice find though ArzuMtz. I know a lot of people like checking out the editor after updates for things like your recent find. The polls don't lie, lol. Idaho and Colorado have strong hopes. The I-84 gap needs to be filled which makes Idaho a no brainier. Colorado is not only a compliment to Utah, but with it in place, both Arizona and New Mexico on the Northern stretches really open up travel routes between Utah and Colorado in place. I hope an Idaho teaser comes this December and it goes official in February for the anniversary. If Colorado does come next year, oh mama, look out. The two states that excited me the past two years is Utah and Colorado. They just sit over Arizona and New Mexico too perfectly to me. Getting those "Four Corners" in, will be nice.

I see a 4 corners bundle when Colorado comes out. I wish they would give us 84 with Utah but it wont happen until Idaho drops.

Were there any hints of Idaho in the map editor or somewhere else?

I think most everyone thinks Idaho is next because it just makes too much sense to fill in the big gap from Washington/Oregon to Utah. If SCS made something other than Idaho for next year, I'd be puzzled. Nothing really makes sense if Idaho doesn't come next year. Imo, its not about what state can bring the most money or what state Pavel wants to do next, its really about what state makes sense next based on what's given currently. I honestly think SCS will do much better to capture more of an audience with a boxed map. Too many people are on the same page there. Fewer people don't care than those that want boxed. Not only on this forum, but outside of it as well more people point to a boxed map. The best think ATS can have going is the diversity of landscapes in the West. Its more astonishing there and more untouched by man. So it has natural beauty to show.

@ads678 I think there is a weigh station info sign designed specifically for Idaho! But I didn't checkout completely the editor! Maybe there are some other assets too

Flight50, There are several examples of illogical decisions like releasing New Mexico instead of Utah/Oregon or RttBS instead of Western Balkans. So knowing SCS I wouldn't be surprised if Idaho won't be the next.

But I hope it will be Idaho & Colorado in 2020.

Surely it will.

Some few assets from Idaho and Colorado started to appear in editor for 1.36, thats a good hint of whats coming next.

As I think about it more, I'm all for boxing the map more completely and have voted accordingly but if they did Idaho and Colorado next year I wouldn't be disappointed to see Texas after that. Texas is going to be so much fun I'm kind of eager to get to it. I guess we'll all see what the new year brings. Come on Utah!

Yeah, Texas makes sense before Wyoming and Montana from a business stand point. Honestly I wouldn't be upset nor surprised if SCS sneaks it in at the same time Montana and Wyoming if they truly will box up the map. If we get both Idaho and Colorado for 2020, I am confident that any new people that come to the ATS map team between now and the end of next year, I think they will be properly trained to be able to form a complete 3rd map team. Without a complete and sizable 3rd map team, I just don't see it being wise to tackle Texas full production if they want to stick 2 states a year. Texas easily demands 2 map team alone. If they started Texas today, we will not get a second map for next year.

Whether we get Wyoming, Montana and Texas for 2021 or Texas and either Wyoming or Montana for 2021, we get what we get. I'd just hate to see Texas before Idaho and Colorado. But if Texas does make it for 2021, I think it makes more sense for Wyoming and Texas rather than Texas and Montana. The later of the two would create an odd game. Although Northern Idaho is depended on Montana, we can use Sourthern Idaho to access Wyoming. After 2020, the Idaho team can jump to Wyoming and the Colorado team goes to join whatever team is already on Texas to make it 2 teams there in Texas. Pavel stated he'd put 25 on Texas if he can. Perhaps SCS won't start 3 state map releases until after Texas is done. I am penciling in 2022 for the start of 3 a year if that's their mindset.
