[REL] Iveco Turbostar by Ralf84 (1.39)

Iveco Turbostar series was introduced in 1984 as the successor of Iveco Turbo series. Even though the cabin looks the same at first glance, there were some differences: it was larger and higher. Spoiler, fenders, and many other parts were redesigned to achieve better aerodynamics coefficients. Interior too have been redesigned to improve comfort.
The first range included the L6 intercooler 190-33 (330hp) and V8 190-42 (420hp), then 190-33 was replaced with 190-36 (360hp) in 1987 and in 1989 was introduced 190-48 (480hp).



Some small parts of the chassis are taken from Ekualizer’s 190-38 but as in the reality, the truck was using the same parts coming from his predecessor, the Turbo series. Cabin is not using any other mod parts and interior is drawn from scratch, basing on pictures (more than 800) taken from me, coming from an abandoned 190-42 found in a parking area.
This topic is meant to show you the progress of the work, but before posting any kind of download link, I’m here asking to the original 190-38 Special authors the permission to use some small parts of his chassis. In case of positive answer, the mod will be released for free. All the original credits from 190-38 Special will be inserted in the mod description of course.

The mod has a special optional mod: the Real Fuller mod, which adds a second crawl gear on the Fuller series gearboxes.
I warmly recommend to use this mod only with steering wheel with clutch pedal and H shifter, since the second crawl has a particular behavior and it can't be used in sequence (with sequential or automatic shifter)
A specific layout will be included in the mod or it can be downloaded on the website of the mod.


In this video I show how to enable the console, how to disable synchronizer (optional) and how to correctly use the Real Fuller shifter (the video has subtitles)

OPENGL FIX
To be placed with high priority above the truck and the trailer mod.



It should fix the problem with OpenGL showing black textures on the truck and the trailer.
It's a beta version so it can have some errors.

Definitely need more old school trucks.

1. Scania 1,2 and 3 series. ( working not bodged or stolen)
2. Ford Cargo (original one from early 80's)
3. Leyland Marathon.
4. MAN F2000 / MAN 26
5. Any ERF.
6. Daf 95XF ( replaced the 95ATi)

I know that some have been done but they no longer work. I also understand that to make these trucks requires alot of time and a good knowledge of blender. Iveco are a forgotten old school truck and this one looks really good. Will definitely be trying it out when released.

Ford Transcontinental. Launched in 1975, lasted 8yrs in production. At the time of launch, it was ahead of its time. Production was stopped due to a sales slump and Fords inability to market the Truck correctly. Had a choice of 4 engines, 242hp,269hp, 304hp and 335hp at launch. These were later updated with a new cummins engine. Good truck, but pricey. More expensive than rivals which is more than likley why the sales fell and the truck was cancelled. The Ford Cargo was launched as a replacement and joint venture with Leyland to reduce costs. My grandfather had a Transcontinental and replaced it with a scania. Happy days from my childhood in the 80's

As soon as possible. I am working on the mod every day, but it takes time, I must complete interiors, then texture them up, then animate gauges, buttons and lights. I also have a job and I can draw just a couple of hours a day.
