<WARNING> Excessive sector boundary detected! [104370, 107360]

#1 Post by magicko84 » 26 Dec 2019 23:34

Hello. I have a problem with my vanilla profile. In the Game Log I find many warnings like this.
<WARNING> Excessive sector boundary detected! (sec-0021-0016, [4531, 10233])
Unfortunately I can't understand what mistakes are involved.
I place the Game Log on pastebin, because it's long enough and I can't post it in full,
Thank you.

Hi. This Update fo Game Log, with new ERROR and WARNING, in addition to those you find in the game log that I posted in the last post, on pastebin. I repeat on the profile that I usually use I have no mod, the game is in vanilla, with obviously all the official DLC. On the other profiles I had mods, but I uninstalled them all as a precaution.

Hello,

Thanks for your report.

The error with the unknown variant name for ut_warehouse5 has been fixed internally. It will be included in future updates.

As for the <ERROR> Master prefab defines terrain points, but corner (/prefab/corners/bridge/or_bridge_fork_0-3_0-4.ppd) prefab has no terrain point! - this has already been fixed, at least internally. ( QA 104370 ).

And lastly, the error with the unknown variant name "default" for the AI LoneStar is known. QA 107360.

As for the boundaries warnings, can you please provide me the coordinates of when such warning shows up?

It would help to know the coordinates of when those warnings show up.

@TruckerDog IThe thing is for me it doesn't matter where i am when the game starts. It happens in all the states that i've tested: Utah, Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona.
For example this is the Seattle truck dealer: (sec-0026-0016);-100086;7.60285;-62577.2;1.07756;-1.05746e-06

I think it is as @IonutL says, everywhere I go. The last coordinates are (Port of Seattle):

- (sec-0026-0016);-100520;9.04322;-62564.1;-0.165404;-5.52523e-05

- (sec-0026-0016);-100539;9.04254;-62597.3;3.0975;-0.000891856

Thanks for your answers guys. I'm sorry for my confusion - indeed it does not depend on the exact coordinates on the map. These warning messages show up upon loading the map.

I was comparing the current public version on Steam with our internal version. It seems that what was causing those warnings was already fixed internally. However, I detected yet another one which is not even mentioned on this topic. So in that regard, I can tell you it has already been fixed internally. :) As for the one I detected internally, well I hope that'll be already fixed as soon as another version of the game is out.

As this was fixed "internally" and thus (probably) not fixed for existing map mods, derived from the original map, it would be nice to learn what kind of things can cause such messages, and what it really is about. :geek:

I get this error also on ATS, the last few times after I ran ats, I copied the coordinates and looked through the map editor, one time it was in the salt lake area, another time in the moab area, then another time in the portland area.
Im not sure if its related or not, but everytime Ive ran ATS since utah came out, this error has always showed up on my log, and I havent had a repeat coordinate show back up yet, it appears random
