Update all Pmd
Update all Pmd
Hello, there is some way apart from how to update all the pmd models of the ats or ets2 mods with a single click, since it is tired of importing and exporting all the accessories one by one and so the game detects them as new, My model has 100 accessories and in each game update to do the process,
example
<WARNING> [model] The geometry of the model '/vehicle/truck/upgrade/deflector/kenworth_w900/deflector01.pmg' has an incorrect file version 506d6714 - expected version 506d6715. Converting ...

Re: Update all Pmd
Here is the 'quick' way which is not necessarily the best way, but it works.
1. Make a folder somewhere called dump
2. Add -conversion_dump_path "X:\dump" to your launch options. (where 'X' is the letter of the relevant drive and the quotes are required)
3. Run the game - MAke sure the only mod active is the one you're updating.
4. Select each and every accessory when the truck's in the upgrade shop. You don't have to keep them fitted, just choose them one by one.
5. When finished, leave the workshop, discarding changes and quit the game.
6. Navigate to your 'dump' folder and you'll see the 'vehicle' folder there. Copy that vehicle folder to the same same folder in your mod. It will overwrite the current pmg, pmd files with the updated ones.
When finished, delete the contents of the dump folder, just to save confuson in the future.
Remove the -conversion_dump_path "D:\dump" from your launch options.
Thanks to @piva for the conversion dump switch.

If you suck at playing the trumpet, that's probably why.

Re: Update all Pmd
1.) download converterPIX
https://github.com/mwl4/ConverterPIX
2.) extract it somewhere
3.) copy the mod you want to convert to desktop
4.) open the converterPIX folder you extracted and go to "\ConverterPIX-master\bin\win_x86"
5.) shift+right click and then click on open cmd windows/powershell console (without any file being marked)
6.) ./converter_pix <path_to_you_mod_you_copied_to_desktop>
7.) enter
now converterPIX will convert the data to text files into the folder <modname>_exp
now you need conversion tools
http://download.eurotrucksimulator2.com ... s_2_10.zip
extract it to desktop
put the content of <modname>_exp into the base folder
run the batch file, now inside rsrc/base/@cache will have all your converted models in there
this you can do every time SCS changes the model format every blue moon and you dont need to go through all accessories ingame to convert them

Re: Update all Pmd
Hello, I decided to learn the Blender program. It started to interest me quite recently. I am very novice to create a new model. To start, I want to make changes to models that have been developed to improve myself. But I encountered a problem. I cannot import PMD files to Blender. I also enabled the ConverterPIX plugin, but it didn't work. On the Internet, there are tutorial videos for learning the program. But there is very little information about "ConverterPIX". I know I'm doing something wrong, but what? I need help with this topic. Friends who can give the correct installation instruction, hopefully help me. Thank you.

Try to read about "ConverterPIXWrapper". Everything is written here: https://github.com/simon50keda/Converte ... pixwrapper
