Spanish land height

#221 Post by Esproquet » 19 Mar 2020 09:23

Sometimes, when you drive from one area to another, you can feel a constant steep on the road (sometimes it's irregular, sometimes it's continuous), that means you are probably entering the Mesetas.

A Mesa is a plateau located at hight altitude. There are 2 mesas in Spain, we call them Meseta norte (the one on the North half of the country) and Meseta sur (the one on the Southern half).

You can see them as two submesetas on this map:

In the special transport video we can see a Portuguese company (LASO - Transportes, S.A.) transporting wind blades to the engine port in Spain for exports.
Not for wind-blades, but I regularly see LASO special transport trucks (but generally more lightweight trailers) doing routes to France through all Spain.

This is very interesting, my young friend from the kingdom of Spain, the Iberian peninsula is very interesting, these economic business relations between Portugal and Spain, in this case it is the largest logistics company in Portugal.
It operates in the Spanish market.
I just arrived at this company, specifically researching special cargo in Spain.
I was surprised to learn that a Poturguese company is "controlling" the Spanish market for special cargo.
Among the loads that I looked at in photos of the Portuguese company.
The catamaran transport in Spain drew a lot of attention, and also though, I didn't post super luxury speedboats, which they transport.
It must be beautiful to see a catamaran transport. It would be something special even for DLC IBERIA.
The more I research, the more I discover that DLC Iberia also depends a lot on the supply of machinery and other products and cargo from other countries, which could enhance more DLC.
For example, there are yachts leaving the UK for Spain.
So it would be very interesting to transport these yachts using the Ferries, between Cornwall-UK and the north of the Kingdom of Spain, in order to take this cargo to the south of Spain, on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, it would also be interesting that there could be a option to transport these yachts from the UK through France.
Catamarans directly from Segovia to the Mediterranean are incredible.

I also see a lot of huge pipes being transported to Cartagena from the North (don't know the origin), as if they were building some sort of underwater gasoduct to Algeria. It's been more than a year since I first saw one, and now there are days in which you can see 2 or 3 special transport road trains taking them early in the morning.

The funny part of one of he catamaran haulage you linked is that, for what it seems, it has been built in Segovia, more than 400km away from any seacoast where they could sail. Weird.

Cartagena

#226 Post by Esproquet » 19 Mar 2020 18:05

Less than 30min south of Murcia there is the coastal city of Cartagena (it was founded by the Carthaginians over 23 centuries in the past on a settlement of a previous prehistoric culture).

[ external image ]

There's a shipyard and a military harbour (there are many military facilities, bases and academies in this town):

[ external image ]

Murcia and Cartagena are separated by Sierra de Carrascoy, there is an airport between the two cities (CORVERA). The landscape of Cartagena fields is very flat, touristic resorts near the coast, agriculture in the middle and industries surrounding the city. (there was even more industry back in the 80s... but you know, globalisation).

Aeropuerto de Corvera (they shot the last Terminator movie there, before the airport was open to the public), they're building an AMAZON logistic center next to the airport.

Good afternoon! Exactly what I find very interesting in this discovery (unintentionally) about the catamaran.
Imagine you transport a Catamaran from the central Spanish plateau, passing the Betica mountain range, and going down to the Mediterranean Sea.
The Catamaran is a vessel in which the dimensions are larger than the trailer. This will put a bit of difficulty for the driver, this can make it very interesting to take this cargo to the sea.
The bad thing was that in the research on greenhouses, for 3 minutes the computer did not save the research, yesterday morning for us, morning for you in Europe. I can't find those things for my own harvesters (load of harvesters) for various types of Spanish crops.

Airport.
I love making deliveries to airports, already answering the information that our friend brings about the region of Murcia. It is always good to have airports.

Mas Boví Ramadera s.l. Site: http://www.masbovi.com/category/granja/
I present to everyone as a suggestion for inclusion in the game a farm that is close to the city of LERIDA, close to the airport of LERIDA, and also close to the highways: A 22, N 240.
Notes:
This video may contain some graphic content that is not politically correct or suitable for Defenders of natural bovine reproductive methods.
This graphic content requires discretion from the viewer.

Localization farm map:
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Mas+B ... d0.4658394

The farm is the largest cattle breeder of the Limousan breed in Spain. The farm is highly awarded nationally, with emphasis on the agricultural fair in Salamanca, where it has already won many titles for the genetic quality of the animals.

Fazenda has many functions in the Spanish cattle industry. The main function is the genetic improvement of the cattle breed, adapted to the conditions and requirements of Spanish livestock. The animals get great weight with the improved genetics, having a record of more than 600 kg of meat carcass (useful), means that the animals in gross weight of more than 1 ton.

Which reveals that the farm managed to reach the apex for the cattle of the breed. Few farms anywhere in the world are able to produce animals in which the gross weight for livestock reaches 1 ton, it means for the meat industry to obtain carcasses weighing approximately 500 kg of meat (useful) to be processed and later marketed.

Just for the sake of general knowledge, the rule in livestock farming anywhere in the world is that animals are made up of their weight: 50% are carcasses (meat), and 50% are viscera ( the whole digestive tract and other organs).

So for livestock, the higher the gross weight of the cattle, it means that at the time of slaughter, there will be heavier carcasses, and a greater amount of meat to be processed. Just to finish this topic; the small parts, leather, hooves, horns, bones, ... everything is used, nothing in the animals that are slaughtered is discarded to become garbage, the meat industry is extremely ecological.

ETS 2 - DLC IBERIA

The layout of this farm is extremely beautiful, and interesting, but also very functional, both for handling agricultural equipment delivery for livestock and; silage harvester, tractors, seeds, planter, fertilizing machines, brushcutters.

The layout allows the loading of animals, and unloading of animals on the property.
It would be very interesting to insert the layout of this Farm on the map of Spain for Euro Truck 2, it has a good location, to be inserted with a few kilometers of rural road.

The video also shows that it would be very nice for players to make videos and screenshots of their trucks delivering loads on the farm, or even leaving the farm with loads to other farms in Spain, and France in the Limousain region, where the French region lends the name the breed of cattle, native to this French region.
The transport of these animals to slaughterhouses in Spain is expected. Fazends allows you to show a little of the region of Aragon and its livestock

------------------------ Export of alfalfa bales -------------- Aragon, Spain Kingdom.

[ external image ]

One of the agricultural products that Spain exports a lot is bales of alfalfa.
The link has a table, with the main countries. Link: http://rica.chil.me/post/las-exportacio ... ata-264053
The region of Aragon in Spain stands out as a producing area.
April's (2019) export statistics, offered by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism and collected by the Spanish Association of Dehydrated Alfalfa Producers, put dehydrated alfalfa exports at 60,117 tonnes exported.

--- EUROPE ------ April's (2019).
NATION ............. TON.
Eire/Ireland ....... 4.969
France ............. 4.726
Portugal .......... 2.115
Italy .................. 201
Netherlands .......... 47

We can see from the table data that it is possible to build many flows for the DLC Iberia, with the export of alfalfa, which is then used in European livestock.
There may then be very significant flows (in which we do not yet have a map of Ireland) transporting to: France, Netherlands, Portugal, Italy.
This using the trucks and trailers on ETS2.

------- MIDLE EAST ------- April's (2019).
NATION ........... TON.
U.A.E ........... 18.573
Libano ........... 2.573
Jordan ........... 1.937
Arabia Saudí .... 1.912
Qatar ............. 1.421
Kuwait ............1.120
Bahrein .............. 49

We can see from this table that the Middle East, is one of the main regions of the planet, for the destination of the load of alfalfa.
This means that it would be very interesting for the loads of bales of alfalfa to be able to leave the Spanish ports.
Therefore we players would do in the game Euro Truck 2, map IBERIA. the transport from the farms they produce, to the ports.
This organization, in the future, will allow these cargo flows (bales of alfalfa) to be loaded in the ports of Arab countries in the Middle East.
Then we players, when there is Asia Truck Simulator, we will deliver these loads of alfalfa bale to the farms in these countries in the region.

--- NORTH AFRICA -- April's (2019).
NATION ........ TON.
Tunisia ....... 2.088
Morocco ....... 268
Algeria ........ 189

The countries of North Africa, or so we will call the neighbors of the European region of Iberia, import bales of alfalfa. I cannot make any statement as to the fate of the alfalfa bales until I reach these countries in North Africa.

Perhaps these burdens arrive via traditional truck trips, and therefore truckers would use the Ferry network that connects Spain with these countries in North Africa.
Another possibility is that these bales of alfalfa only arrive at Spanish ports, being exported by ships. I couldn't answer.

As a suggestion for a load insertion game - bales of alfalfa in the ETS2 game, for the Iberian map, international cargo transport links with these countries would already be structured for the future (when there is the Africa Truck Simulator or any complementary dlcs to ETS2).

------- ASIA -------- April's (2019)
NATION ........ TON.
China ........... 4.282
South Korea ... 1.755
Japan ........ 1.336
Taiwan .......... 105
Spanish bales of alfalfa feed animals in countries in the far east of Asia.
So we already know that with the Asia Truck Simulator in the future, we could expect to transport the bales of alfalfa from the ports to the farms, and the stores of agricultural materials (or distribution centers).

The logistics of dehydrated alfalfa (Aragon region, Spain): Each container has approximately 30 bales totaling 23 thousand kg.

The logistics of dehydrated alfalfa in Spain starts in rural areas of small towns like San Juan Mozzarifar.

Cooperatives such as the cooperative, "San Lamberto" produce with their associated farmers part of the alfalfa crop, which is intended both for Spanish farmers, farmers in other countries in Europe, and also for farmers in foreign countries mentioned prominently in the Arab and African countries. far east in Asia, are major importers.

The dehydration process of alfalfa generates bales, in a very fast process of 20 minutes, in a machine called "dehydrator", at the end of this process this machine generates bales that are quickly loaded into containers.

Truck drivers drive trucks that haul transport trucks for containers, bound for the city of Zaragoza, in the Aragon region, specifically at the TMZ terminal.
At the TMZ terminal, these containers are unloaded, stored to wait for the formation of large multi-cargo railway trains.

These freight trains depart from TMZ bound for the Port of Barcelona, which were then exported to the buying countries of Spanish Alfalfa.
TMZ in Zaragoza has an area of 10,000 m², operates an average of 300 thousand tons of dehydrated alfalfa, through its terminals bound for the port of Barcelona.

The traditional period of alfalfa harvest in Spain, region of Aragon, Valley of the River Ebro, occurs between the months of; June - September.
The development of the agricultural sector in the region today, the period of commercialization and logistics of the product is extended to the months of October - December, in each year as being the great cycle of movement of trucks, trains.

The logistical flow of dehydrated alfalfa occurs in all other periods of the year, this period from June to December, is the period of greatest activity in the production chain, which generates 4 thousand direct jobs, and hundreds of thousands of other jobs indirectly, contributing to settling Spanish farmers in the country's own territory, thus avoiding the phenomenon of rural exodus.

The Aragon region produces approximately 900 thousand tons of alfalfa per harvest, with 300 thousand hectares of irrigated area in the Ebro River Valley.
The biggest customers for the purchase of Spanish dehydrated alfalfa are: United Arab Emirates as the annual demand of approximately 600 thousand tons, and China has demand with 66 thousand tons.
