Very impressive fail. Fortunately, it seems in the video that nobody was injured.
I've found 2 more videos that show the salvage operation they are performing after the... tank landing?
Bonus track: People in the zoine seems very angry because there was lots of trees that were heavily trimmed at the side of a road to let the transport pass and now...

What actually happened? Did the load unbalance due to faulty alignment, or did the suspension on the left side of the trailer just collapse?

Wasn't that supposed to be tied down to the trailer?
Re: How - NOT - to transport a Super Heavy Cargo
There appears to be a slight crown (bank) on that road. He should have rode the bank a little higher. Basically he should have straddled the road to be half way on and half way off in his case. Would also help to have a wider trailer vs a narrow one. It's too top heavy.
He should have ridden it high like this guy here does @ the 7:15 mark

But if the problem was the road banking, I always thought that (very)multi-axle combined platforms were auto-leveling.
Doesn't seem either that the small hole on the road was the cause even it it sank just then. It doesn't affect more than 2 axles on one side of the trailer.

the bank is nothing, the trailer levels this out, and even if the load was strapped down, the straps are only to prevent it from moving on the trailer when accelerating, braking or when you are going into curves, what is a moot point because they drive so slow you dont have any centrifugal force, the moment the whole tank started to tip the force was enough to rip the straps apart, they are only made for so much force and not to hinder the tank from tipping over
also, the whole tank was bolted onto the trailer, even the bolts would give way when it tips
