Revamping the PACCAR trucks
Revamping the PACCAR trucks
It would be nice if Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks are updated with the following items:
1. Depiction of the 40000 lb rear suspension as that now appears to be the standard IRL instead of the 38000 lb suspension that is currently depicted.
2. Updates to the aerodynamic side skirts for the 579, as they now look different IRL.
3. Inclusion of the Cummins X15 series.
4. Option for exposed, polished steps and tanks for the T-680 and 579, similar to what is available for the Mack Anthem.
5. Redo the Peterbilt 579 chassis, as it looks unrealistic.

Re: Revamping the PACCAR trucks
Also why is the mudflap hangers on w900 black instead of chrome?
Re: Revamping the PACCAR trucks
Speaking of the W900, the Studio Sleeper is 86" IRL, but appears to be the 72" Aerocab sleeper in the game. Also, the exhaust pipe routing by the cab steps is from 2007 model year and earlier. The pipes are routed differently from 2008 and later.
Re: Revamping the PACCAR trucks
I'd like to see this. The 579 especially is honestly kinda lacking, mainly when it comes to the lack of an option for the Ultraloft sleeper, as well as aerodynamic bits for the side fairings and bumper (https://www.peterbilt.com/sites/default ... k=gA7nBepY). Having removable side fairings for both the T680 and 579 would also be a very welcome change. For the W900 and 389, they're much better done but I'd also like a shorter chassis for the W9, since the current chassis we have feels way too long for hauling stuff like box trailers.
Blackout exterior for 579
Would be nice if we get this one included, perhaps as a tuning option (Pic from internet)

Re: Revamping the PACCAR trucks
I personally would love to see split window option on most of the trucks as it is a feature you can get IRL especially on the W900 2020 - 2021 models. I too would love to more blacked out options for different trucks in game.

Re: Revamping the PACCAR trucks
I'd like to see at least 2 models for all 7 truck brands in the game before SCS ever considers redoing any truck. If its not to renegotiate the licenses to include 8x4 and/or 4x2, I say leave them along and bring models in which we can get all wheel configurations like ETS2. That is 4x2, 6x2, 6x4 and 8x4.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Re: Revamping the PACCAR trucks
I find all the current Paccar models good enough as they are, only thing I would mention about them if if they added shorter exhaust stacks similar to the W900 for the other day cab models as they are a option as well.

an aero-roof cap for the T680 mid roof would be nice now that its an option on the T680.axl135 wrote: ↑03 May 2020 16:35 It would be nice if Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks are updated with the following items:

as for 4x2 chassis, not very common in the USA except for short haul work where the driver doesn't overnight in the cab

4x2s are very common in the states. @Space_Night
