The "immediate jump to full rev sound" is the biggest issue with the new sound. It is apparently optimized for pedal users, so it doesn't work right if you use a keyboard for throttle input.

No it doesn't work for padal users, no matter how soft you press the throttle, there is little variation to the sound of the engine. always sounds that is revving to hard.
There are naive questions, tedious questions, ill-phrased questions, questions put after inadequate self-criticism. But every question is a cry to understand the world. There is no such thing as a dumb question.

Come on, now you're being disingenuous. Their social media offensive, their presence and influence are directly proportional to their ability to secure licensing deals and maintain relationships with industry leaders. It does not mean they don’t care, quite the contrary. For better or for worse we live in the age of social media. What they do on the social media scene has very little bearing on what's going on behind the scenes as far as development is concerned - though, I will grant you that sometimes this complicated marriage does result in things getting a rushed release.

I understand why SCS is struggeling to Secure licenses because if they showcase what they Got now in Terms of Sound i dont blame companies for thinking theyre unserious or what Ever. I dont believe that Twitter likes make the licens deal any easier, and if it does the world has seriously lost it and went full Clown world!

you dont understand nothing, we already got trucks and we clearly now the manufacturer doesnt care how it sounds, or else we wouldnt have any trucks at all ingame for both games

and it isnt the likes it is the following on twitter, facebook, Instagram and co, it shows how much reach SCS has with their product, nobody cares about likes, this is just d*** measuring, a reason why facebook did hide the numbers, on Instagram also

Dude, I’m angry with what they’ve done with sounds as much as you are. Perhaps even more so, considering I’m genuinely unable to play a game I spend a lot of time and money on. But even I am not blind to the fact that we’re outliers. Most people, as shown by player numbers, do not care about these issues. We’ve voiced our concerns, they have been acknowledged, the ball is now squarely in SCS’ court. There is really no point in us discussing this any further, nor is getting angry at SCS social media presence. Their media team is doing their own thing, and they’re doing it well.

Indeed @Bocaj , your point about the sounds has been made very clearly. SCS is aware of it and acknowledged the initial 'downgrade' of the sounds due to the new sound system, but they already said this was the first step and things will get better. To keep repeating your complains over and over, and in this case even involve other stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with it (securing licensing deals), just make your comments childish and a lot harder to take it seriously imho.
System specs: Ryzen 5800X3D, RTX3080 (no OC), Varjo Aero (using OpenXR through OpenComposite instead of SteamVR), 32 GB DDR3200, Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2 TB, Win10. And most importantly: vanilla game, no mods.
