^Lol. For me its all about variety. I think TO is cool and all but for me, I get the best thrill in the Freight Market and Contract jobs. I like to pick up a variety of trailer types and cargoes without being limited to a trailer type. This way, I can pick up any load from any industry base on the locations I am at. I like basically being a freelance contractor vs a fleet guy who only hauls his own trailer to pick up the loads he can with his trailer type. From time to time, I will do TO but its not often with the limited cargo available.

That has an easy solution @flight50: with enough AI drivers you can have income enough to have a fleet of all necessary king of owned trailers wherever you wanna go. So you could drive your own trailers without sacrifice diversity in the cargoes taken. The ultra-cheaty game economy allows for that easily.

I've done logging in ATS, and it's cool and all, but I definitely prefer container chassis and dry van trailers to any specialized type trailers such as logging trailers. I guess it's all just personal preference. ;)

One day those of us who want non mod lowboys for TO will get their wish.

Definitely personal preference. My love will always be the lowboys. That's the owned trailer I am waiting for big time. Not the default one that came with ATS though. But the new one that came with the HH dlc. I love the fact that SCS detached the HH lowboy and revamped ATS to make the HH version the standard one now. Not all loads came over but I think the graphics overhaul will fix that. Give me the single pivot 3 axle lowboy or the 3 axle with dolly any day. There is a lot of cargo growing for those trailers as SCS is listening to more cargo for them. Between the construction industry, farming and oil/gas and perhaps mining someday, the HH and ST can have a lot of cargo added to them over time. The links in my signature periodically gets new cargo added to them for SCS to have references.

edit
@dk00?. You posted while I was typing, lol. I am refraining from using mods to just to get TO lowboys myself. I'm am waiting patiently for the SCS version. I'd rather not use any mods that enable TO. I had a very bad experience once that scared the crap out of me. I almost lost a 3.5 year old profile because of it. It was may fault but I'd rather not deal with it. So I choose not to use TO from mods.

Yeah, not utilizing any trailer mods either anymore. In fact I'm only using a mod that alters the route advisor so it doesn't block the in dash GPS with ATS. The rest of it is good enough for me. Ets2, I use a few mods mostly drivetrain revisions especially with the tgx e6 since the physics changes won't hold 12 gear on an external contract instead it jumps between 11 and 12, killing one's mpg. Galimim's MAN drive train revision fixes that.

Guys, take a look at the ETS2 page on Steam, they updated the screenshots and removed the old ones :)

@dk00?. I use to use JazzyCat cargo trailers to get more variety. But I noticed that they override to many SCS loads so it had to go. The only trailer mods I run now are the the 2 I posted here viewtopic.php?p=1356757#p1356757. Those are too sweet to let go.

I'm with @Trucker_71 I stick to dry vans and reefers. Once in a while pull a hopper or flatbed. Never cared for logging or heavy cargo pack much.

@flight50 what you like to do is what we call power unit only.
