I actually played the ATS demo over and over again for six months before I actually decided to buy the game. The demos are definitely worth it for SCS. ;)

Part of why i've asked,it's because i think some people rely on Youtube(or any other video website)videos. To see if the game is worth it.Could be wrong once again.
Anyway, thank you everyone for your answers :)

never played the demos, I bought the games after watching gameplay videos on youtube ;)

But demo's can only bring so much to the table and you have to present it well otherwise if it becomes misleading it can do more harm then good. But for old timers like me with truck sim and SCS games you just have to play the classics (Hard truck from the late 90's and the OG 18wos steel in 01) here to know what it will be like, as each new title SCS has made the overall gameplay is better then the previous version. They are alot of people on this forum and in general that have just brought either one of the current games through playing previous titles.

Would'nt be surprised if a large majority of either ETS 2 & ATS players have played previous titles beforehand at some stage.

I played the demo of ATS a lot, and it was so old that I think it was still in 1:35 scale. Nevertheless, I played it for at least 3/4 months before buying the actual game in December 2016.

Am I the only one who bought both games flat out, lol. I first bought ATS June 2016. I came across it and never questioned it. I was like its a truck game and I love trucks, for $20 what could it hurt. I come from console primarily and games are $60 so that's what I was use to playing. $20 was nothing. Dec 2016 I flat out bought ETS2 without question. Dlc's have only gotten better. If haven't purchased as console game since and I this year will be the first time I have zero interest in the next gen Playstation. I stopped playing both my PS3 and PS4 in favor of pc games.

I used to like the PS3/PS4 Call of Duty series, I was never any good at it, but it was fun. I thought the Red Dead Redemption #1 was awesome, I bought the second one for PS4 and barely put a few hours into it. I have no idea why I lost interest. Since Playstation went pay for play for online, I gave up on the CoD games also. My PS4 is now strictly a DVD player!

I saw a friend on steam playing ets2 which caught my interest, the rest is history.

Bought it by virtue of having played almost all the prior SCS trucking games, but if I hadn't had prior experience, a demo would have certainly helped.
