This region would be nice. A large mining area and power station.

Overall, non-renewable energy generation depots would make sense to have. A considerable portion of generated energy is generated from coal, oil and especially natural gas. Obviously, such power stations' feed is provided by other means such as rail and pipelines but cargoes such as equipment and other stuff would be nice.

I would rather Montana before Texas myself since I’m loving the forested and mountain areas we’ve been getting. If they are using google earth for reference, which I think I remember that being part of the process, that prove a challenge for Montana (and Wyoming) as the coverage there especially in the street views is very poor where most of the highways and smaller roads are low resolution images or just nonexistent. It seems Idaho is better off here probably because it has nearly double the population and as well noticeable when you hit the Canada border the resolution increases probably again because the entirety of Montana’s population and then another quarter of it could fit into Calgary alone. This will be a reoccurring problem in the northern prairie states.

No doubt I am excited for Texas and the push east, but a good portion of it will be desert again for those that don’t like that and I as far as I can tell I wouldn’t call the scenery in the western portion anything to write home about. I am already worried about the desert hates complaining about some of Colorado. I just really badly want Montana for the additions to Idaho, for the scenery itself, and also because it’s so close to home for me compared to every other state.

A fun Easter egg that would never be added to the game would be summer snowfall the odd time. Last year we got a blizzard in September and down south of the border in Montana was significantly worse than what we got!

I live in Germany so I really have no problems with the desert scenery, nice to have a bit of sun after all.

Until we completely get into the Great Plains, I don't to see why people are still complaining about deserts. There are different types of desert and if we want all states to be as realistic as possible, we can't expect SCS to bypass these parts. The geography of the West can't be depicted any other way.

They create the environment to paint the pretty picture anyways.

Plus, with the scale of the game they always need to "cut and paste" different areas together and nicely blend locations that are miles apart in real life.

I´ll like to see Texas, as the first DLC to be delivered in 2021. Given the number of important cities, major airports and the great number of petrochemical companies in that state. And, of course, the ammount of miles of road it´s very large.

SCS recently stated they are working on 3 dlc's. I really don't think Texas is on the menu for 2021 if they are doing 3 maps. It would take more than one map team to do Texas. Texas is the same size as Iberia and pretty much the whole ETS2 team is doing it. But Montana, that a whole other ball game than Texas. Montana is big but not Texas big. Montana could come for 2021 if SCS chose to do it.

I'm taking Montana October/November 2021. It will be interest to see who predict right come mid next year. I'd think Wyoming is what gets announced for the 2020 Xmas stream.

Could be both dlc’s announced around Christmas? Like Idaho and Colorado?

I'm pretty sure that in the Christmas flow at least Wyoming will be announced and in sequence Montana. Unless SCS decides to launch the 2 states together and then Texas. I think this last one is unlikely ...
