With dirty trucks there needs to be truck washes in ATS. If you drive from New England, lets say IRL back in the the 80s, to California in the winter months, you'd best stop at the truck wash West of Kingman, AZ and have the whole rig washed. California used to give out tickets for dirty trucks. No amount of begging or not knowing where you could find a truck was would not help you get out of the ticket. And that is no joke..... don't ask how I know.

ATS has them that are only eye-candy, and none anywhere near the California line that I know of in ATS. If ATS adds them I can bet it's like taking the ferry up in Washington.... you pay and :o , your truck is washed. LOL

The more ways we have to spend money, the better. I don't know how much truck washes cost, but I'd mod it to be a couple grand. I am sure a realistic price for a truck wash is $100 in real life but that's way to low for ATS. Maybe set it for $250-$500. But that's too low for me still. I'll set mine at like $25k. Heck one delivery gains you more than that and that is with my income factor being .5. I might have to go back to .3 on my main profile. As the games evolve, I hope more maintenance cost get introduced. Hiring mechanical was one I seen before. I can mod his salary. Hired drivers maintenance fees can get increased as well. I don't like having more than 3 million in the bank honestly.

I certainly hope that more ways to spend money are introduced in the future. As it is presently, I have sought out some of the more rigorous mods that draw revenues per haul closer to reality since there are only a handful of things to do with what one makes.

I'm gonna throw out an off-the-board suggestion that should be pretty easy to implement: occasional out-of-state plates on AI traffic. The odd California plate in Idaho, Washington plate in Arizona, New Mexico plate in Nevada, etc. would add to the immersion.

Those would work especially well in border areas. I'm sure Arizona plates are not uncommon in Las Vegas and Gallup, for example. Tourist-heavy areas like the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and Vegas could also feature plates from any state in the country.

Furthermore, I consider that I-80 across Nevada must be redone next.

I don't like dirty trucks and washing, so I hope if they come it would be optional, with a checkbox in game settings for example. ;)

SCS won't introduce dirty trucks, the companies that allow SCS to have their truck in the game would not be happy with that.

How many times does it need to be said that the companies do not care about dirt on trucks before people stop spouting this fallacy? Pavel himself even confirmed this.

The lack of dirt was purely a game issue, they couldn't get it to work as intended. There's a reason there are truck washes on many of the ATS prefabs since game launch. They tried to add it already.

Given the new truck wash building in rebuilt Vegas, I wouldn't be surprised if dirty trucks become a thing in the near future.

As Pavel had said in some past streams, dirt is something that was always in tests when the games were still DX9, but the result was not very satisfactory. Something that now with DX11, they can certainly do better and without limits. Dirt is something that is allowed by manufacturers, unlike cosmetic damage that is not allowed.
