Freightliner Trucks Discussion Thread
Re: Freightliner Trucks Discussion Thread
So, i was thinking to myself these past few minutes and a thought came to me...
WS and Freightliner are both owned by Daimler right ?? (Just like Pete and Kenny are owned by PACCAR and that fact helped getting one from each brand in the game for ATS release back in 2016). Now, WS got it's dealer prefab into the game in the 1.38OB and is probably coming to the game in this month or sometime around september.
So, since both brands are from the same owner (WS and Freightliner), can it be possible that we'll get the Cascadia before the end of 2020 with the upcoming 1.39 ?? What do you guys think ??

Re: Freightliner Trucks Discussion Thread
if they manage to bring Freightliner along in 2020, would be one hell of an achivement; Lonestar (december 2019), and on april 2020 mack, great chances (Imo 99%) of a western star and supposedly at least one freightliner. 4 trucks in a one-year period would be outstanding, especially for a game that had only 4 trucks until late 2018 with (then) two and half years of life. ATS sure came a long way regardless, which is very fortunate.
Best Regards.

@55sixxx it is a good possibility. I figuered we would get Freightliner first then Western Star. I see I was wrong. Not surprised Daimler is the last 2 trucks at all though.

Re: Freightliner Trucks Discussion Thread
@55sixxx Every since the Mack released, I've been saying I think we can get 2-3 trucks this year. The Anthem didn't come last year so it got pushed to this year. The Cascadia was teased in 2018 along with the Lonestar. Surely it has to have a ton of progress by now. Now comes the WS dealership in the game itself. So yes, I definitely think the Cascadia can come before the year is out. Will it, I don't know but I think the chances are better than 50/50. Especially with Oscars's positive words when I asked him about his trip to Daimler earlier this year. He responded here if you haven't seen it.
Considering WS is in the game now....like actually in the game on the map, I seriously don't think that prefab is put there for looks until the end of the year. I'd imagine we get some type of teaser from now til perhaps October. Once that teaser comes, we could be looking at a release in 1-2 months from the time of teasing. Considering both are Daimler trucks, it would be sweet it they were like Paccar and we got 1 from both Freightliner and Western Star. If the Cascadia is held for that reason because that is what Daimler wanted, I'd be perfectly fine with that. It would shed more light on why we have not seen or heard anything about the Cascadia.
We already know that each brand has at least a working model from something in their line. But what we don't know is how many trucks in total is the vehicle team working on at once. They are only a team of so many and they have to cover both games so they have limitations just like everyone else.

Re: Freightliner Trucks Discussion Thread
I am currently looking at the DD13 brochure.There's 3 DD13 that has 1650 lb-ft of torque : 410 hp,450 hp and 470 hp.Since again,that only torque matters ingame,i might just go with the 410 hp(which i guess would be the cheapest DD13 option with 1650 lb-ft of torque).
Re: Freightliner Trucks Discussion Thread
410 hp is a multi-torque engine. I'd get 450 instead.

There's 3 single torque(or whatever it's called) 410 hp DD13.

Re: Freightliner Trucks Discussion Thread
As long as she comes in a 13/18 speed, I'm good. I am looking forward to making my W900 a heavy haul only. With the Cascadia and a 5700XE, I am looking forward to returning back to trailer ownership. A 53' for the Cascadia and i'm not sure what I'd haul for the 5700XE....perhaps pups because I can take them in all states regardless. It really would me nice to have multi drop and splitting up the trailers to park separately.

Re: Freightliner Trucks Discussion Thread
I don't know why the Cascadia wouldn't get 13 and 18 speeds if you ask me.But,the question is : will the ingame new Cascadia have 12 speed automateds(Detroit gearboxes for example)?
I think the Eatons that are in ATS are automated gearboxes.Could be wrong, tho.
