cant open map editor

When i go into the game and press edit it says i have to start the game with -edit
wich i do
and the map editor starts loading up but fails "failed to open file /home/editor/defaults.ini in the read_only mode"
and then shuts down,
what i want to do is to create a empty map were i can build a map from,
i also tryed to start with -edit europe parameter wich give me same error aswell
and i start it as administrator.

create a new shortcut and add -edit europe to the starting parameters

Got it to work now, thanks, is there a way to have google maps as background when u create a brand new map? (i wanna try make one 1to 1 map

this is outside my knowledge, a user that works with the map editor more in depth has to help there i only use it to convert weather mods once every blue moon when they break
