Everything depends ever, plykkegaard. Included the disposition of different manufacturers to collaborate with SCS. Is well known that Scania is one of the easier to deal with and more prone to collaborate and that MAN don't use to give so many problems with the license agreements. While it has been told us too that other brands don't want that SCS even mention they are on negotiations or they will be stopped. Who knows in which spot will be Iveco.
Re: ETS2 1.39 Speculation Thread
Apparently Iveco has been silent for quite a while in the game. Launching of the Hi-way was its biggest thing ever. Something which disappointed me the most is not including the iveco dealership in 1.38 blog article, while other six brands were present, some even had two pictures

In fact, there was 2 MAN pictures (big and small dealership) and none of Iveco or Scania dealerships. I found it too a curious selection of images; they could had taken 1 of each 7 companies big dealership and could had been more even without any extra effort.

I don't think they are holding the CADs because they fear from the competition. I mean, they can literally just walk in any shop and buy a truck, take it to their R&D section, and take it apart piece by piece. Such a minor thing as having the CADs of the exterior (which is always visible btw.) seems a minor problem for licensing.
On the other hand, if you were a famous truck manufacturer, and give the license of appearance to a game, and a few days later this would be on the internet, I doubt you would be happy either.

Re: ETS2 1.39 Speculation Thread
getting the CAD files is easier then buying a truck and dismantling it just to see if what they have done is a revolution or just a 08/15 solution
and why should the manufacturer care about such videos ? the target customers are clearly not us so they dont give 2 cents on them

You know there are legal agreements for situations like this in order not your all sensitive property will fall in the wrong hands on internet, so basically in that case scs (or any other company) would guarantee that none of this sensitive things (CAD files in our case) will be on internet & available for solely their use.

If I was a famous truck manufacturer I'd hire them to do promotional videos. Humour sells.
