Hi,
Since upgrading to 1.38 from 1.36, ETS2 now seems to crash randomly, but only when I use the built in radio. There doesn't appear to be any specific pattern to the crashes at all.
I have never had issues with crashes when using the radio in any other version of ETS2. If I dont use the radio, it doesnt crash. Would you be able to take a look for me please?
I have attached my game.log and an extract from my game.crash which I hope helps.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Lee.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm relieved to know that it isn't just me. Hopefully the development team can get to the bottom of it.

Re: Random crashes when using Radio
can you actually post game log and crash log from same run ?
as your game log is - log created on : Monday August 10 2020 @ 16:46:51
vs
Crash log created on: Mon Aug 10 16:05:14 2020
so the game log was run after the game crashed. and will tell us nothing in relation to crash.
are you using one specific radio station ?
basically...
Please follow our Bug Reporting Guide.
- game log is very important for us.
- make sure you are not using any mods.

Re: Random crashes when using Radio
Hi Tom,
Please find attached my game.log and an extract from my game.crash, both from the same run this time as requested.
FYI, I disabled all of my mods yesterday evening prior to this morning's run, so it is as "vanilla" as it can possibly be.
With regards to the radio stations I listen to, I switch between 3 that I have selected as favourites.
Hope this is more helpful to you.
Kind regards,
Lee.

Re: Random crashes when using Radio
so far we are unable to reproduce it.
but there is one more way how anyone with this problem can help us.
if anyone can use
-full_dump
as additional launch option/parameter. and then let the game crash one more time.
this will create memory dump file. which will be most useful for our coders.
memory dump file will be quite large. so game crash under -full_dump could seems like a freeze... as the game will be frozen for some time creating the file.
and the file created will be placed as any log file in documents folder. and then you will need to upload this file somewhere so we can download it. something like gmail account could be useful. ideally still with both additional logs. game/crash.

Hi Tom,
I'm back on the road now until Tuesday, so I will look at obtaining this additional information for you then if nobody else helps out in the mean time.
@Bobble2020
Do you think you might be able to look into this whilst i'm away from home at all?
Kind regards,
Lee.

Hello.
What does this error mean? I'm trying to hear a radio.

The radio link is below.

Sorry about my English.

Re: Random crashes when using Radio
Hi Tom,
I've had the game freeze twice this morning. I've left it for at least 15 minutes before pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL to end the program, but the game.crash hasn't been updated since I last sent it to you on the 12th August and there is no dump file of any kind either, even though I have added the launch parameter you suggested. Roughly how long am I supposed to leave it for after the game freezes ideally?
Kind regards,
Lee.
