Looking for a working google voice nav mod for ats 1.38 and up

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

There are some google map mods in the workshop, maybe one of them fits your taste

Maybe there are some more, I did only a quick search

At least the first one doesn't work. I downloaded the first one and another mod named English - Google Maps Voice(UK) (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 1766664957 ) with Steam Workshop Downloader. None of them works. They are always mute and dumb. I don't think there's any problem with my operation. From each zip file downloaded by Steam Workshop Downloader, I extracted the folder named Universe, which contains the same items and directory structures as a normal scs mod file does, and then I compressed the contents of Universe into a zip mod file, put it into the game's mod folder and activated it in the game. The game can recognize the "mod". From mod manager to the selection of navigation voice in audio settings , everything works right, which gives me a feeling that the "mod" surely works. BUT, a big disappointment came when I clicked Preview after selecting any of the voices from the "mod". None of them can say anything. All keep silence, mute and dumb.
I think the bank files, which contain the sounds, are problematic. Maybe they were encrypted by Steam Workshop to forbid non-Steam users to use them, or the authors of these mods indeed could not create working bank files. They lack the ability to build mods with F-MOD. The videos shown in the pages of their mods must be recordings of games prior to v1.37, for which voice navigation mods were easy to build without F-MOD.
As for the second mod you listed, I downloaded it from a site other than Steam workshop. It works, but I hate the unnecessary and annoying sound that sounds like "Ding Ding" before turning left and right.

@mropods I use the second mod since month and it works perfect in 1.38, and I don't have this "Ding-Ding" sound, there are many different versions in this mod, maybe try another one
Also the other mods working for me, if you downloaded it from steam pack your mods without compression, maybe this is your problem, don't know it exactly but if I remember correctly sounds files should allways be uncompressed :)
