Colorado Discussion Thread
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
I think I found Photo 1. US-550 north of Ouray looking south. The Uncompaghre National Forest sign is behind the camera from this view:

Unless I'm wrong about the location, SCS did some condensing here to put a lot more landscape into one spot. It looks more scenic in their photo than real life.

At the same time, even if you don't have the Utah and NM DLC, you will still be able to access Colorado thanks to the 4 corners.

Where is Pic 17?
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
Xaagon yeah, good find!
@supersobes Not that bad IRL vs Ingame. And considering the scale.
For me, it seems it is deliverable
Sametbey2, 4 corners is a bit of a surprise
Sun shadows seem a bit odd tho?

It looks similar to this place.

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
Finally some western spots I can point out.
For pic, @Xaagon that is correct. You'd be driving 550 south from Ridgeway to get that view. Immediately recognized it. If you think that got condensed, wait until further south.
Yes, Pic 19 is Exit 116 Glenwood Springs right before you enter the canyon. I had to study the picture for a while. At first I thought they were using the old bridge which got torn down years ago. It is indeed the new bridge but they just made it skinny. You can the the gradual curve on the left. Also, the "turn" or stoplight right before it is well before the Hotel Colorado (the landmark) where it used to be. The other sign is in the pedestrian bridge in the back meets the bridge rather then paralleling it the whole time.
To be frank the whole area is off from what I can see. The bridge looks much farther off then in real life from that POV. Guess less intimidating is what I'm trying to say. There are no where close to that many trees yet either. Maybe SCS thinking about the future? I can understand the road situation a bit with scale but yes it is off. (The stoplight does not go directly to 6th Street anymore. I'll take pics later today. You have to turn left at the stop light and into a roundabout depending where are going.)
The biggest thing that annoys me is orientation. Hotel Colorado is too far rotated from what is appears along with 6th Street. However the more I think about it it could just be the awkward angle. I'm not sure.
Oh, and pic 20 is the Red Cliff Bridge going up Tennessee Pass on US 24 so that is confirmed.
Overall mountains do please me. I think they are doing a good job with those. I gotta take someone to look a a car so I'll take those pics and post them later today.

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
The mountain accuracy is important for me. To me they really set the scene and if SCS can get them right, sweet. It just means that older map mountains would be nice if they can get updates. At least the ones that have very bad textures and/or lack of details. Most of the base map mountains have no depth and the definition of them lacks crevices and niches which means no shadowing. I'd love it if SCS replaced some of the old base map models to be on par with the paid dlc's.
