The first part, about the performance difference, might be negligible. I don't know as I haven't really tested it. The second part however doesn't need to be performance issue. It could be that the engine simply can't handle these vehicles very well if they can't move independently (the dolly for a double for example), which might result in some slight movement between the tandem and the trailer. This is of course simply speculation but might be a explanation for the way it currently works. It might also be related to the issues they are having with the cab suspention for american trucks. I think they said that a realistic suspention like with the european truck is currently (too) complex and therefor isn't implemented yet. It would be nice to hear from the developers what the issues are and how it works (maybe another under the hood blog when they do eventually implement it).

Most of the truck mods work with a 1.39 engine mod.

I am still eating the hanging issues on this version, not sure which trailers specifically are triggering it (if it even is trailers and not cars or something else that loads in). I don't know if they would release with a known issue like this

Well Idaho was released with all kinds of performance issues and several are still not resolved....not sure I would be holding my breath for known issues to all be fixed before they release anything any more.

So true robinicus. 1.36 was probably the best stable update, but then since 1.37 any graphics options settings didnt seen to work well and
the sim just does not play well anymore.
This is the only game i own where lowering graphics options actually makes it play even worse??? wtf.
