Colorado Discussion Thread
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
It definitely is a huge improvement over the your old one that is on the left.
In a world full of swift drivers, I'm an O/O.

Don't lie, @KnuteOle , we all know the truck on the left is yours!
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
Nice.
But I have to say that the truck on the left, along with the rusted out pickup truck, are probably the most over-used assets in ATS. I like them, but there needs to be more variety.
Speaking of the copy/paste assets, one that I don't have a problem with is the little white chapel. In real life it seems that every small town in eastern Colorado has at least one of these and they all look very similar.

I agree with you that that truck is too overused, but I always enjoy seeing it, as it's nostalgic since that same truck was in 18WOS ET2
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
Lol. That truck is exactly why I made this post viewtopic.php?p=1445873#p1445873. I think its time to add some variety for sure. Even the white rusted truck that we have that is most used in the countryside. Add some different colors for props. The library in ATS can be much much larger than it is just by adding variety to it as well.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

I did Burtlington to Los Angeles and it was cool to start in the Great Plains full throttle, and when you reach Denver you have the city, it does go by fast though, lol. Then your climbing into the Rocky Mountains. It’s a fun drive, once the Basemap is redone then Los Angeles will be so much more fun.

One thing I would like to see in LA rebuild is more freeway traffic. The game as a whole need to get at least a li’l bit challenging.
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
SCS won't increase traffic but we can ourselves. By default, traffic is better off at 1.0. But we can change it pretty easily if we are not using a traffic mod. Traffic mods may require the default 1.0 to stay intact.

Documents\American Truck Simulator\config.cfg. Open with notepad. Change g_traffic 1.0 to a value of your choice. 2.0 works pretty well for me. One thing to remember if you adjust this is it will also increase train traffic.
Not sure if it is just me but when looking at these from the opposite direction you can see the light flashing through the backside. I was running mods at the time so unable to do a bug report. May have to check that out later today.supersobes wrote: ↑19 Nov 2020 02:54 SCS added traffic signal warning signs with beacons in Colorado too!
You can never make a miserable person who complains about everything happy. They live by "If I can't be happy then no one can be happy."
