Re: Iberia Discussion
Maybe you can release the game on Christmas 25th or maybe on the 5th of January to the 6th of January which is the date at dawn that celebrates the Day of Kings, these two dates are very important in the culture of the Iberian Peninsula.
because in Latin Iberian culture on both continents, the Americas and the Iberian Peninsula, these dates that, I spoke about are very important. Christmas and Kings Day Maybe it will be released on those days It would be something very interesting for Portuguese and Spanish.

It will NOT be released on holidays, forget that
People at SCS will also be on holidays. If they can deliver it before Friday 11, you can forget about a release until late January at least.

Re: Iberia Discussion
Kings' Day, Dia de Reis (in Portuguese) isn't that important in Portugal, and it is a lot more in Spain. Here we hear the Spanish celebrate that day almost like a second Christmas, we really don't do it at all - as a matter of fact, I hated it as a child, because we usually take down the Christmas Tree in that dayplinio.lisboa.br wrote: ↑26 Nov 2020 21:47 Maybe you can release the game on Christmas 25th or maybe on the 5th of January to the 6th of January which is the date at dawn that celebrates the Day of Kings, these two dates are very important in the culture of the Iberian Peninsula.

But it isn't a bad idea, if you consider Iberia as a whole, yes, most people celebrate Kings' Day a lot.

Re: Iberia Discussion
I'm going to put one more suggestion of a release date for the Iberia DLC.
take a look:
- Christmas is very important in the Iberian peninsula December 25, 2020.
- January 5, 2021, Kings Day, another very important date in common.
-7 June 2021.
Very symbolic date because it represents the summit of the geopolitical power of Portugal and Spain in dividing the world that was the Treaty of Tordesillas, and this was achieved on June 7, 1494.

Re: Iberia Discussion
Do you even read? SCS is out of office over Christmas and probably the first week of January, there won't be any release, the 25th is a holiday almost everywhere around the globe, the 5th January SCS office is empty and the 7th June is a ridiculous date because they won't stretch the release for half a year, it doesn't matter what these days simbolizes, there won't br a release for obvius readons

Re: Iberia Discussion
Besides, unless you're desperate, releasing in the middle of a Steam Christmas sale is retail suicide.
Re: Iberia Discussion
To the question about a possible postponement of Iberia into 2021: What makes you wonder is not the absence of a release date announcement as these are
indeed usually disclosed only about one week prior the release. But what one or the other still does not consider is the complete lack of any gameplay video/
stream which is, at such a late stage, certainly NOT usual at all. I mean, December begins already Tuesday next week and as some newbie driver said Friday
the 11th is probably kind of a deadline.
Isn't that weird that now, max 2 weeks prior to the release we still haven't seen anything gameplay wise? Given the fact that Iberia is so large, you would think there would be plenty to show, wouldn't it? Compare this with the previous DLCs of both ETS2 and ATS. If you just take RttBS alone one year ago as an example. They showed some stuff (yeah i know it was dark the whole time ) as early as on Halloween! From this it can be assumed that they were sure that it will be ready in time until the end of the year, even though, according to Pavel, they needed to "steal" the mappers from the Germany rework team to do it. And we
know Iberia is a completely different beast than RttBS, it's by far the most ambitious map project they have ever tackled. And it has never been 100% sure that
it will work out this year. Pavel's careful wording last year during the Xmas special stream:
i beginning to have my doubts. But we will see. Soon enough.

And back then there wasn't even a Pandemic in sight with restrictions that we all have never experienced before. I'm usually a rather optimistic guy but hereHopefully Iberia will not be a task that will be too big for us too produce in our planned time frame
i beginning to have my doubts. But we will see. Soon enough.
