ETS2 1.40 speculation thread
Re: ETS2 1.40 speculation thread
Well, that's what I've been saying in FB ETS2/ATS groups since forever: “Create a vanilla profile and use it at least during version updates periods!”
But, alas, nobody seem to care enough, until the update has been released. At that point, as if by magic… the whining starts (again) and continues forever! Yet it seems to me so easy to understand.

Re: ETS2 1.40 speculation thread
People want it all (continuous and well-stuffed game updates but also all their mods working from the first moment) and end having nothing (not being able to play because they screw everything in the save game)
At the end the hard wall of Reality® is the best teacher for most people. No matter how many advises had they received, the lesson is only learned when they crash against it.
There's also that proverb that says that humans are the only animals that stumble with the same rock twice... and three time, four, five...

Nah, be fair Newbie, we humans are not completely alone in this. For example, isn't it fascinating to watch how Flies bang against the window pane over and over again (even then when the window is already open)?
Re: ETS2 1.40 speculation thread
Keep playing on the last gane version instead of the newest, if you want your mods so badly and wait untill they get updated. Atleast that is what i do cause i can't stand the 1:19 scale

My honest opinion is that SCS should disable the ability to use mods in EBs and in early OBs when they know it will be a lengthy one.

Re: ETS2 1.40 speculation thread
In which case modders are not able to upgrade and test mods until new version is productive, it would be a bad move imo
Maybe EB would be an idea as no modders would do anything until the builds are fairly stable
