Hello friends! Does the X49 truck affect performance? I did several tests and are having many falls. I play at ultra and I have an average of 70/60 stable fps. Driving Mack Anthem everything is fine, doing the same route with the Western Star 49X I have a giant performance drop. It is poorly optimized just like Cascadia.

Google translator, sorry.

I'm having no performance hit with the 49X or Cascadia.
In a world full of swift drivers, I'm an O/O.

Did a quick drive from Portland to Seattle and the LED traffic signs felt kinda dark to me. Does anyone else notice this, and is it supposed to be like that?

70/60 fps is considered pretty good. There could always be drops across the map though. Depends on where you are. I'd say its more less the map itself than the trucks. You are always in the trucks so those are consistent polygons. Each truck is also different so you can't compare one truck to another really. But the environment changes as you drive around.

I reported this bug with the clearance lights on the Western Star 49X. I hope SCS fixes it before the end of the beta as it breaks the immersion of driving this truck at night. In the meantime, I'm interested in making a mod that temporarily fixes this until SCS does. Is this something that is possible to fix via a mod?

The way it works now is just not normal. Here is an example of two shots - on the left you can see truck painted with black and on the right the same truck painted with white color:

You can clearly see what on the right picture everything looks darker even the sky. Thats not normal (imho) and it really breaks all impression from the game. It shouldn't be like this. Why painting truck with white color breaks all visuals? Maybe for the night or sunset times its ok but for the daytime its not. Please, take a look at this. @SiSL, @Max.
basically, this is specific example of "dynamic range". light intesity is balanced to give best perception range and it depends on observed scene.
this is desired behavior (cameras do this as well as human eye).

we might re-check if the setup is correct and tweak it if such differences will show as too much in case you hit big white or big black area.
Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.

Speaking of lights. As day transitions to night, there is a portion of the transition in which the headlights do not light up the road like they use to. I always leave my headlight on no matter what so its not a matter of turning on my lights. I use them like daytime running lights. 1-2 hrs before it gets completely dark, there is a time period that the headlights should more effectively light up the road. So far, I always have to go to an external view on a straight road just to double check that the headlights are still on. Are there more masses experiencing this in the beta or is it perhaps just me. I think I saw one other person mention it but not many.

Thank You for posting that link. Started a fresh, mod free profile and have been finding floating signs at almost every weigh station I hit. I'm gonna start taking pics and logging cords every time I see one.

@cs8492 from what I heard from nav its global so it would be fixed for all the signs so no need to do that I don't think.
