Interruptions... C’mon man!!!

#1 Post by cwat89 » 10 Apr 2021 00:46

This is more of a venting topic. How many of you experience what I do that literally every time you have a chance to play, that without fail someone or something causes you to have to stop mid trip or multiple freakin times to the point where it breaks immersion and you just want to hurry up and be done with the delivery or say F it and turn the computer off??

I can probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve played that I successfully made a mid-length to long trip without interruption. It ends up ruining the enjoyment and relaxation for me most of the time.

*end rant*

Maybe some of you can relate

It happens. This is why I play when I am off the road and have nothing else to do after grass is cut, truck worked on, etc. Normally get my chances to play late at night or when the weather is crappy.

You shouldn`t play at work, then it does not happen. ;)

Yes happens to me many times
I'm a student and sometimes my parents tell me to go study and I have to take short loads
Or a long load but with a hurry

Just reload the game and continue the transport, nothing different than a stop for resting :D
Yes long hauls is for the midnight hour and out in the silent night

Actually this is how I play most of the time. But for me, its usually because I get sleepy. Other times, its because something else takes priority. I don't do long trips anymore. I got burned out with the hockey stick map we use to have. 500-800 miles typically is what I look for. If I do go with a 1,000+ mile trip, I break it down to 2-3 playing sessions. Easy to do with non WoT jobs. For WoT jobs, I always try to get the ones with longer expiration times because I know I won't finish it. Even when time expires, I still go back and finish the WoT jobs and just take the late fine. With millions in the bank, I don't play for money, I play to drive and deliveries.

So I wouldn't say its immersion breaking for me at all. I've gotten use to breaks as I always find good stopping points to stop playing.

You can always save and quit game at a truck stop or hotel to keep the feeling of immersion

This is true. I have stopped at rest areas before when I know I’m fixing to have to take a break.

I guess I just get so irritated because people don’t want my attention until I sit down to truck.

I take a long haul and complete it in 10 days or more, by spending some 15 minutes every alternate day, hauling from city to city (I usually park at the repair shops).
