Poll: Which area should SCS add to ETS2 next?

I think all the rest of the foreseeable parts of the map are going to come after Russia; because we are going to have like 4 or 5 Russian DLC alternated with others, most probably.

If you mean after next Russian DLC (HoR); if it's not the Balkans we can see an uprising here in the forum. Make sure you have a comfortable couch and enough popcorn.

I compared contents of editor_data.sii file for 1.42 and 1.43 open beta, and I found this:

The most interesting part is about some map name: balkan2 and zadar. As we know, Zadar is the city in Croatia

Do you think this area is coming to ETS2 after "Heart of Russia"?

Nice find! So this indicates that internally they may already be working on the next map expansion after Heart of Russia! Probably in very early stages.

I found it in game files, so I think there is a chance they started working on these regions

@cajar I doubt they will answer you, but they may announce or tease it a bit more in the Christmas live stream which isn't that long to go.
