Ps4 Controller not working

#1 Post by FileStock » 11 Dec 2021 04:58

The PlayStation controller does not work in drive mode after updating to 1.43 however does work in menu, like the steam and Xbox controller. This is only an ATS problem the controller works fine in ETS2 in my experience.

Same here.. I open DualShock 4 and start Steam in widescreen mode. Controller works in menus. I'm entering ETS 2. It also works in in-game menus. But when I enter the game, steering wheel etc. no controls work. I started having this problem after the 1.43 version update of the game. Can anybody help?

No such problem here with ATS 1.43.0.72, PS4 controller connected directly via Bluetooth to my Mac (OS 10.15), Steam Input disabled (globally + per-game override).

Hi. While in the game, I went into the controller configuration. I chose the option to browse settings from the bottom. Official configuration selected for Euro Truck Simulator. I selected it again, applied it, and saved it. Problem solved. Thanks.

This seemed to work for me a couple times when fiddling back and forth between configurations (not sure exactly what I did or why it decided to work), but this is definitely not a sure fire way to solve this problem. It shouldn't take dozens of tries farting around with the steam controller settings and configs to make a controller work at random whenever it decides to. It should work on start up every time with no issues as it always has. Something is definitely wrong here, and SCS NEEDS to investigate immediately.

UPDATE: It's seems the work around might be to use the default official SCS controller config and then modify it as desired and save a new custom config. However, this is still not a adequate solution. Previously created custom configurations should still be functional.

am still having problems after the update to Steam, and then the SCS update that followed. Currently have PS4 DualShock controller working with joysticks, but cannot get the accelerate and Brake/Reverse to work with the triggers. Have tried Steam input/No Steam Input, Reconfiguring controller configurations through Big Picture, but nothing works.

Why did my controller suddenly go haywire on me? It worked fine last night and this morning, I get an error "This device is not supported by this game..." I fired up the game and the controls seem to work fine UNTIL you start driving and then the "steering" is all over the place. Any explanation/fix for this? It just quit literally OVERNIGHT. Not real happy right now.
