[TOOL] SXC Extractor - Flexible Game Data/Mod File Extraction Tool (UPDATE December 24, 2023)

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

This is an amazing tool! I finally able to do some changes in some mods for personal use!

But I'm unable to edit some extracted .sii files, because they are encrypted. I think it is not 3nK file format (because there is no 3nk at the header).

How do I decrypt this?

The .sii file is something like this, complete unreadable:

I have created sxc.hdb, but I still don't know how to use this tool, such as sxc xxx.scs -o after extracting a mod, I only get the def file, what should I do next

@qiuzhigangya when you have extracted this to a folder you get a readme.html
click it and you get to a well-written tutorial on how-to do it step by step if not using the automatical method
sometimes one need to do some manual labor 😎

Good detail, not really for everything. As for a No Base Root mod, the end of the tutorial is not well explained. I've been trying to figure it out for 3 days. With an explanatory video, there I will agree with you, but currently the tutorial is poorly explained.
Afterwards, if you agree to help me, I won't be against :D

I'm sorry, but "well-written" is not how I would describe it. It's written very confusingly and not that detailed in a lot of aspects. Being that it's in broken English also adds to the confusion. I've spent the last hour trying to decipher just the Working With Missing Items and File Type Scanning sections. A well written tutorial does not create confusion, it removes it. That's the whole point of a tutorial. If multiple people are coming into this thread with questions, then I'm pretty sure the problem is not with them but with the "tutorial".
You can write almost any way you want, and you might make yourself understood.
But, if you don't use standard English properly, you would also help people understand that you aren't well educated.
