Re: Florida Discussion Thread
I'm so excited too, my sister lives outside of Orlando in between Lakeland and Orlando. I've been to Walt Disney world multiple times to the point where I can't count anymore lol. I hope they have deliveries to the theme parks as different names. Ik it's early to be talking about Florida anyways.

Man, I can't wait for the east coast for ATS, but it could be a fair while before we even see the east coast, including Florida.
After all, we have Texas and Montana in development.

Re: Florida Discussion Thread
Even with a push, I still see Florida as most likely a 3 year goal. There's a lot of ground to cover between where we are and Florida. A lot of detail that should be explored and really developed before the map teams even begin to entertain a pre-build investigative trip to the state.
This thread is about 2 years too early. LOL.
I don't see them just making a b-line to FL from TX as that's going to leave a single interstate corridor to deliver to and from. VERY poor map planning. Best case scenario is Florida in late 2024/early 2025, me thinks.
The only thing I'm really looking forward to (and I'm not 100% on the commercial trucking laws along the corridor) is driving to Key West and enjoying that scenery/ocean views. For me: That will be the part of the Florida DLC that will make or break the state. That's some of the most important scenery in the state. Not a lot of scenery in the state. Flat with city buildings. Flat swamp land. Flat coastlines with views obstructed by beachfront apartment towers. But the trip to Key West: That'll be where folks looking for scenery are going to go.

I made a concept map.
Destin, Perry, Lakeland, Key Largo, Fernandina Beach, and St. Augustine (In all it's glory though including a viewpoint) can all be scenic.
Either Gainesville or Ocala would have to be Scenic too, 'cause I don't think both would fit as marked cities.
We could have Kennedy Space Center and have a whole new industry, Everglades National Park, and maybe even a Raceway.

Just some random guy
Re: Florida Discussion Thread
That Florida map is even more dense than your Georgia map. That won't work for 1:20 scale. 19 marked cities? That's too much for Florida.
I'm willing to bet we get closer to ads678's Georgia and Florida maps compared to the denser versions you created. I'm not trying to be mean or anything but you are creating 1:10 scale type maps and we just don't have that type of space. Ads678 has typically been 80-85% accurate. He has done a great job for us.

My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.
