Cascadia Chassis Tweaks 1.1 (1.43)(24/01/2022)

#1 Post by iceCat3003 » 10 Dec 2021 16:41

Ever since the Cascadia came out, I've noticed the front wheels are mounted a little outwards of where they should be, and this is what I came up with:

But I also added an alternate position for the fifth wheel closer to the cab for 6x2 and 6x4 long chassis:

Download v1.1.1
Download v1.1
Download v1.0

Changelog:

Code: Select all

v1.0	-Initial release
v1.1	-Added a fully slid back fifth wheel (useful if you plan to use the Cascadia in ETS 2)
	-Minor adjustments and bug fixes
v1.1.1	-Jost logo fix on 6x4 long ALT rear

oh man, if you moved the fifth wheel to the center of the tandems on the long Western Star chassis, I'd be super grateful. Looks goofy the way it is right now.

did you move the airlines for clearance or out of general principle?

I second this: the daycab frames should be available for the sleepers. The sleeper frames are ridiculously long.

I just started using Blender, but I might do the same with the 49X, I agree with you both, the frames are way too long.

Yeah, but just enough so they wouldn't clip with the cab and not overrun the deck plate, for now I've only tried it on a dry van and it barely clips with the corners of the trailer while maneuvering in tight spots.

Can we maybe get a 8x6 steer/liftable axle? I’ve been wanting this for the Cascadia for a long time

thanks so much for this great mod, the 5th wheel on most trucks has a rather odd position, if you have some spare time at some point, do you think you could move the 5th wheel on the International LT in all its variants?
