Texas Discussion Thread
Re: Texas Discussion Thread
According to a quick Google reverse search, it's a major expressway in China..
Re: Texas Discussion Thread
I believe that picture is fake, some vehicles seem to be identical (e.g. yellow trucks, some of the white and yellow cars...), and I can't find anything about a 40 lane-wide highway. It's true that there's a pretty popular picture showing the G4 Highway in China spanning like 50 lanes, but it's deceiving because the picture is made above a toll gate, points where motorways usually get wider to reduce traffic jams. The vegetation in the picture makes me think about Ontario's Highway 401, but it 'only' has 18 lanes in its widest stretch. What is certain is that isn't the Katy Freeway in the picture, you can check in Google Maps that it doesn't traverse any non-built forested area.

Yeah, that picture on the previous page looks photoshopped to me.
This is what the Katy Freeway looks like:

1. Katy Freeway (I-10, Houston, Texas, Usa; 26 lanes)
2. Myanmar has a 20 lane.
3. Kings Highway 401 in Toronto with 18 lanes.

Re: Texas Discussion Thread
That last pic was definitely photoshopped. If the Katy is the widest in the world, nothing will be past 26 lanes. That photo was pretty much doubled the Katy. SCS won't even get close to half of the Katy imo. Useless to do at 1:20 scale. I'm willing to bet we could at best see 2 lane service roads and a 4-5 lane interstate. We don't need more than that.

Things I would like to see as Viewpoints:
San Jacinto Monument (Baytown)
The Alamo (San Antonio)
The High Five (Dallas, US 75 @ I 635)
Connector roads might give us Carlsbad Caverns

Re: Texas Discussion Thread
I think SCS should show the cities off. I'm sure they are spending a ton of time on them. I'd make viewpoints of the mega cities in the dlc. If there is no limit to viewpoints, I'd even do 2 viewpoint for some cities.

Re: Texas Discussion Thread
Kind of exciting, which DLC will make it first, Montana or Texas. My bet is on Montana, Texas just seems to take forever.
Re: Texas Discussion Thread
Seattle has three viewpoints, so I think there is no limit.
Re: Texas Discussion Thread
Awesome. I don't pay much attention to viewpoints. No limit is good for Texas. I'd do several in each mega city then.
