SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Truck looks awesome dude, can't wait for it to be done. My Dad drives a 07 lowmax and it'd be cool to drive it in game!

Very soon!
I just got unexpectedly slammed with work, hoping I'll be able to knock out the remaining stuff this weekend.

Could you post a link to the truck in this forum thread once it's done? Me and my brother are super excited for it!

Re: [WIP] Western Star 4900 EX
Almost there.
One of the main things I have left is figuring out why the shadow doesn't work for the lowered chassis. I could recite the shadow documentation in my sleep and I've lost track of the amount of hours I've spent on it.
I even redid the entire chassis from scratch but still no bueno. Pisses me off to no end - especially since I keep having to export the entire truck model every time I try something new. I really don't want to skip the lowmax config, but I have no clue what the issue is and I've run out of things to try.
The fakeshadow shader setup with the locators must be the dumbest thing I've come across in ages. It's like someone tried REALLY hard to make it as complicated and nonsensical as humanly effing possible.

I hate to be that guy but couldn't you just release it for now with that as a patch/bug fix in the future maybe... again hate to be that guy but I'm just a bit impatient for this truck lol..Outlaw Transport wrote: ↑28 Jan 2022 19:47 Almost there.
