Next ATS truck speculation
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
T680 is quite likely.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Nope, now that is not what you should take literally. Not anything or everything SCS posted either in their blogs or their social medias are a 100% confirmed, or even hints at all. Especially not when there has been no hints nor mentions regarding Paccar, and part of me doubt that they even interacted with Paccar that much at all in that event. If you are going by that, then i'd say that they probably got licensing for the HX as well, since HX was also in one of the pictures.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
In general, I think they should be careful facelifting old trucks in their place, as some players may actually enjoy driving the older versions after spending a lot of time and customizations on them, regardless of how imperfect some people may think the models are. Also, it would be weird for a player to put thousands of miles on a truck and suddenly have SCS make it appear a 2023 model.
Due to this, I'm sceptical that old trucks will be "refurbished" outside perhaps sounds.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
There is only one example when a new interior with minor external changes was added to the MAN E6.
But the same 389 is slightly wrong in geometry, so it will need more attention.
I made mods for it, but I won't be upset if SCS reworked it for the better.

I'm not entirely sure what you meant by that, but if you mean overwriting an old truck for a new one, no. SCS doesn't do that. What we want is a rework of the old model that is up to current standards, those being CAD models, and it appears you aren't aware of how terrible the first five trucks have been by today's standards, they might not have been back in 2016/2018, but definitely not by now anymore.Corvinus wrote: ↑17 May 2022 09:16 In general, I think they should be careful facelifting old trucks in their place, as some players may actually enjoy driving the older versions after spending a lot of time and customizations on them, regardless of how imperfect some people may think the models are. If we ever get the new VNL, I am sure SCS will get the latest and greatest updates like the Cascadia. The body is the same, just provide the updates. It was noted by a dev that they already had a 2020 VNL recorded. Hopefully it comes to light.
The T680....I'd love to see it. I am traveling this week. In my 4.5hr drive from Dallas to Little Rock, I noticed at least 4-5 new gen
T-680s and only one new gen 579. One surprising common truck I saw was at least a dozen 132SDs. Long shot of Freightliner granting this truck but to me, its like the old Cascadia. A very valid truck to have in ATS.
9 times out of 10, SCS are the ones not asking for older truck models. I don't think the manufacturer's are saying no at all. Can't say no to something not even asked.

My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

T680 had better advertising than 579

Is that a fact or opinion? I think both should be ATS trucks asap. I favor the T680 a bit more though. I like its more aggressive look plus I like Kenny's over Pete's, lol..

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Couldn't see any evidence tbh. Sound recording does not mean that SCS is currently working on the truck recorded. As soon as SCS won't give us an evidence I cannot be sure for each trucks. Even I'm not trusting the evidence since they teased old Cascadia but did nothing about it.Virtual Trucker 51 wrote: ↑17 May 2022 08:14 I think scs is currently working on 3 ATS trucks, Volvo VNL 2018, Mack Pinnacle and WS 57x, the evidence can be recorded by the sounds of Volvo VNL 2018 and Mack Pinnacle, and a video from Daimler where the director of WS said they have a surprise for us for the summer 2022
You have said that they recorded Pinnacle or VNL but they also showed T680, 579 etc. They recorded the sound of 2018 VNL years ago but nothing changed after that. Maybe they recorded Pinnacle for Anthem since they are the same truck. Or they recorded but they will make it 5 years later. Even they might recorded some trucks but didn't show us . So nothing is certain. All we know is they are currently working on new MAN and that's it.
