Not a really good example, due to done in paint, but if you compare both, you'll see what I mean.
Here I have started the stretch around west 93degree longitude.

Regarding the years, that is my release theory from some years back.
But if they were to do that, the miles off the west coast probably wouldn't match reality. This is something much more complex than we think. About resizing: This is only possible if they do it manually, which would be like redoing it all over again. I don't believe there is any possibility of them doing that. In short, it's very simple: See Portugal at ETS2. It's a good example that even if a state/country is small, they won't do some kind of miracle for the state or places to get bigger, it will only be extremely small or may not even exist on the map if it is too small. That's it.

Fra_ba, my not so good example, it only adds about 250km/155miles, in north/south. And maybe the same in west/east.
That was just as an example. I did those more than a year ago, to see how it could look.
But my idea, for those that want to have more room, would be that it would stretch to something close to 1:17 or 1:15, or what might be best.

SouthernMan, cities, towns and 1:3 zones, could make so that the miles would match, as much as they do now, more or less.

Do you guys think we get this kind of inner US border patrol stations with southern CA rework? I'm not to sure how they work for trucks but I saw trucks pulled out all the time I went thru them.

I think there's 1 or 2 of those in New Mexico, but they are not functional and cannot be entered. I don't know if it would make sense for them to be used just like the agricultural inspection stations, but it would be cool to see them functional.

I agree. And it could bring the border patrol car back to the AI traffic. Would love to see such little details.

I-40 near Flagstaff. Just an edit I made. Mountains far away, a more open scenery and characterized by a desert.

Nice views.
How does it look when you get closer?
And pass them?
Asphalt looks a bit oddly worn.

There's at least one Checkpoint in Texas too - In Comstock on the US-90 for example.
It looks a bit like a mandatory stop for trucks, so maybe we'll get this one with the Texas DLC.
We already have working Border Checkpoints in ETS2 and in Pro Mods Canada, so it shouldn't be a problem to add the triggers.
