DAF XF Tuning Pack (painted fenders)

#1 Post by LucasVanDerSpin » 08 May 2022 20:55

Dear devs,

Please add painted fenders to the official DAF XF Tuning Pack.
All other official Tuning DLCs are May (Scania, Mercedes, Volvo) only DAF no.
Will the tuning of the new DAF 2021 be added?
That would complete the DLC.

Thank you in advance.
Greetings.
Lucas

I still don't understand how this is possible. To omit this element from painting.

Where is the Tuning Pack for XG +? NEXT QUESTION!

Deavs, please do something about this.

Lack of midlift option is majorly disappointing too for the new XG/XF. Progress has slowed lots on ETS2 over the last year.

Just do something with it. They are in other trucks, and still not here

agree, it seem like ATS is priority 1 when it comes to about anything in later years. I wish for update on XG/XF too, and some bloody customization.

Chances of them changing this is slim. Maybe if they ever decide to update the XF tuning pack they will go back to it.

Thing is the old DAF was one of the first trucks to get expanded accessory slots, so naturally it wasn't going to have all the options newer updates got. They listen and learn as they progress and add these things to newer updates, but they never seem to go back to older trucks and revisit them a 3rd time (or second time in case of the old Renaults/Ivecos).

I would love for them to revisit Scania 09/12 and make the rear fenders separate from the tops. I would love DAF to get rear fender accessory instead of on the chassis. But I don't see it happening in the foreseeable. My biggest gripe as a modder is when they put things on the cab/chassis that could have been an accessory and thus helpful to modders (I hate having to override/edit SCS models).

The Mack logo on the cab model is a great example of this short sightedness. I can forgive the mask around top lights on the new DAF because it was a new truck and they did a really good job of it overall with options, but if they make an XG tuning pack, that's one of the things they need to fix and make an accessory too.

My biggest gripe with SCS is that they to lock painted parts behind paywalls (DLC's)... We go through a loooong time without them and when they arrive we have to buy the pack just for the painted options. And I hate it.

Painted parts is not tuning, because you can order them painted from factory IIRC... OEM parts should also be available from the get go and not locked behind a paywall as well. Just because of this, we'll have to wait ages just to get a painted grill and that mask around the NG DAF skylights paintable.

Tuning Packs = Tuning, Custom, Aftermarket... NOT OEM.

I'd rather pay £3 for a tuning pack than £8 for a truck.

Considering what other companies would charge for both the truck and the tuning I think we are super lucky that SCS aren't greedy and happily give us free trucks and tuning for a low price.
