SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Hi there, I decided to give this map a try and it definitely has a different style to others and I like that style. It kind of remembers me to the old school maps, I don't know, maybe maps from ETS (original, not 2) or maybe some 18 WOS maps. It's GIGANTIC, but at the same time is not like extremely detailed, and I don't know why but I like it, it's a place where you are going to stay a lot of time and that's nice. I have also made a video, actually will make at least another one as I got a 62 km route and, in 1 hour, only managed to do around 30 KM :O.

@Nando CEV Actually I did the Dalton in 18WoS Haulin as well on a 1-1 scale, but it developed some severe shaking as according to Pavel Sebor it was too far from 0.0.0 and the size the engine couldnt handle, but hinted at a new engine. That was ETS, then came ETS2 then ATS. I restarted the Dalton in ETS2 but ported it to ATS when it came out. Glad you are enjoying it.
Theres quite a few changes coming in the next update as Im currently revamping a few things and improving them a bit as well as bringing it upto date with 1.44 and fixing a few things such as licence plates. Then I'll port all that over to the Winter version which is slightly different and has different physics being Winter of course as well as different night/day settings etc.
Like that truck! Gotta watch it running through Taps there it can be quite deadly going upto Yukon River. Think you musta hit a delineator or something just after 2 mile there. Those are part of the road so will mess up your truck if ya hit em. Winter is even deadlier as if you go too fast you can lose control and slide out.
@halbtollekreatur That whole area there has just been redone, the sign is new as well as a few other things besides the Park Ranger. Theres also an AI version of the Park Ranger with full authority to issue speeding tickets

Great stuff mate. Have you ever thought about extract the traffic from your mod into a independent one? Since I love your map I also run others with Alaska into it and it would be great to use them with your AI traffic.hawkbs wrote: ↑26 May 2022 14:18

@hawkbs I'm wondering if I had 2 profiles with the Dalton mod, one summer and one winter, if they would somehow conflict with the game or each other

That is what I do plus another profile for Straylia and another for regular ats and all are good with each other ...

@Trucker_71 Ive got several profiles George. One is my original Dalton profile, two for testing map edits, one called Summer one called Winter (I know how original), two for base game etc etc.
@halbtollekreatur Problem with that is each map has what are called traffic.sii files for each area. i.e. California, Wyoming etc
which need to be edited to add them in. Then if you want them to appear in events thats a whole different ballgame as well.
So you would need to add them to the traffic storage files as well as each country folders traffic.sii file.
Then you need to check gamelogs and make sure theres no error messages etc etc.
I just added three new Police Chargers (different unit numbers) last night to Fairbanks and it took alot longer than it should have.
