I think it might be a good idea to see this approach also for ETS. After HoR (done and delayed) and future Western Balkans, maybe is time to switch to smaller DLCs at a faster pace: Greece, Ireland, Northern Scandinavia, Northern Finland, Belarus, maybe Iceland. Ukraine is the only one that would still be old-school big.

I'd honestly settle for the missing midlift chassis at this point.

Ukraine is better to refrain from developing. There will be many political and ethical moments. For example, is it worth making ruined cities, and taking into account that over time there may be more of them. Now is definitely not the time to build a country that is in the midst of a military conflict.

So I've heard... But it's been over a year since the new DAF released and in December it will be a year since we got the chassis update and the XF. And IRL, all models already have quite a lot of options to choose from.

Isn't the midlift UK and Ireland exclusive?? And as far as I know, for the rest of Europe, DAF has the small wheel variant... In this case, I doubt SCS will go through the trouble of making small variants of all the in-game wheels just to suit a new addition. Without mentioning people will whine that other trucks and brands don't have the small wheel version.

We have worse compromises than that in both games, so why not, a standard mid-lift will suffice. :)

i think this weird 6x2s with the small wheels are always custom order, but DAF now offers them as a stock option ? they are, most of the time i see them, used on car transporters, never saw them on anything else

also the UK Mid Lift is non steered, even though they show a steered icon on DAF BBI

I don't know for sure but I've seen the small wheel variant used with other trailers as well, such as tippers, box trailers and lowboys.

And yes, the UK midlift is just a pusher axle and we still haven't got them in ETS2 too. So it would also be a first... That's why i'm keeping my expections for other chassis at the lowest.
