Yes, dirt and damage to the AI vehicles would be super. The ATS world always looks very tidy.

Unfortunately, SCS doesn't care much about AI traffic in either game. I came here to tell you about AI traffic trucks. Currently there are only 6x2/6x4 trucks in traffic, we have not found any 8x4/8x6, 4x2. And the bobtail trucks? They removed it completely, in both games.

The point is that we would need more specific definitions for trailers with 8x4/8x6 or 4x2 in traffic. Imagine a 4x2 with a heavy trailer or a 8x4/8x6 with a small 28ft trailer. It would look stupid.

But it would be very great to get 8x4/8x6 or 4x2 and definitions for small, semi, long and heavy/special trailers.
But for long we would need seperte definitions for the different combinations. Se we also have to avoid 4x2 with turnpike or rocky mountain trailers.

With this we can have the follwing combinations in traffic:

4x2 with small
[ external image ]

4x2 with long as double
[ external image ]

4x2 with long as tripple
[ external image ]

8x4/8x6 with heavy/special

But for now I would be happy with 4x2 and small trailers in traffic.

The idea came up with the new WY post. Park Ranger cars would be nice. Even if they are just placed at the entrances, parking lots and buildings of the parks (like the Yellowstone bus), since there are no park definitions yet ;)
There are different options.

EDIT:
Here is a list of places they could be added to in ATS:

Arizona
Grand Canyon National Park
Petrified Forest National Park

California
Death Valley National Park
Redwood National and State Parks
Yosemite National Park

Colorado
Rocky Mountain National Park

Idaho
Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve

New Mexico
White Sands National Park

Oregon
Crater Lake National Park

Washington
Mount Rainier National Park

Wyoming
Grand Teton National Park
Yellowstone National Park

I hope I have not forgotten any national park featured in the game.

I think to improve the traffic more and more, it could also be useful to print the existing cars and trucks with advertisements ore official logos, as we see with the Isuzu NPR.
Here are just some examples

Chevy Express

Ford PickUps

Chevrolet City Express

I know there are mods out there for this but it would help the vanilla gamers.

As an euro dude who has learned everything about the US from movies, an old pickup truck with a camper shell would the most american thing ever.

Also US Forest Service fire engines or service trucks spawning in traffic/taking part in random events, if at some point Nat. Parks get their own definition, which giving the large amount of them you drive accross in the game I could see doing.

And brush trucks.

Looks like we get a crane :)

Even if the Yamaha Wolverine is nice you could add smaller ATVs (on small road and as static vehicles)
[ external image ]

Monster trucks would be nice (more static than in traffic)
[ external image ]

Willys Jeep as classic car
[ external image ]

More serious
Old asian cars that are still in use
