@Vinnie Terranova Exactly my point on slaughter houses. I question it all the time. Its a building that won't show or imply anything. We drop off trailer if Freight/WOT or unload if Cargo Markets. Unloads are black screens. We never see cruelty. With all the other depots in game, we don't see anything. Not sure why Pavel thinks differently on processing houses. At one point, he said he'll just go for it when people started pleading for the livestock trailer. But apparently, he backed out.

What's happening in a broken link in the industry. We have meat as cargo already. We missing the processing/packaging. We missing cold storage. These are real life facilities. The base map should have implemented a processing house. It's a nation wide industry. Anything national should start with the base map. Regional companies.....just make new company per region. ATS lacks both regional and national.

Well we are missing a lot of middlemen, even for industries that aren't controversial at all. So maybe we will see slaughterhouses at some point, as well as a meat packing facility or a food storage or something.

In game there's a mileage sign before the I-80/US-50 split, but I'd like to see the real life mileage sign that's after the split, and many years from now, hopefully the counterpart on the other end of US-50 gets put in, too. Maybe once the rest of US-50 gets reworked to connect with Carson City?

There's even some interesting history with the signs:

There's also this one in Barstow for I-40 for when the rework gets to that area:

@alclark Those kinds of signs make me so giddy I don't know why but they do. I just think it's such a fun thing to have, as if anyone is actually going to be going the entire way  They should definitely make it in-game wherever they exist. Adds so much life and flavor to the world by including quirks from real life like that. Plus I just really like seeing signs pointing towards future states. New Mexico has Amarillo. Oregon had Boise. Washington had CDA. Utah had Cheyenne. Idaho had Missoula, Butte, and West Yellowstone. Colorado had Cheyenne and has Ogallala (does it have Colby now? I know it didn't on release). Wyoming has Billings, Rapid City, and Sidney (Scottsbluff? I don't think so but maybe). Montana could bring us Lethbridge (I-15), Swift Current (US-191), and possibly Regina (MT-16). Exciting stuff for sign nerds like me.

@alclark Why didn't they add that sign on US 50 in the rework?!
Nothing to say here anymore.

SCS doesn't really pay attention to things as trivial as signs. That's why some of them are misspelled.

That’s utter nonsense. There’s a former community member (natvander) who has joined SCS a couple of years ago to specifically take care of signs. One would assume being a forum member for as long as you, you would have noticed. Which poses the question who does and who does not pay attention. If you find something is missing or misspelled, head over to the bugs subforum and report it, that would be helpful.

^Agreed. It's pretty well known by now that Natvander puts a lot of effort into the signs in ATS, so saying they don't care is completely false.

Misspelled? I meant those sign pictures! I want to know why they didn't add those in the rework!

Signs are one of the parts of these games that I don't have to worry about. Especially ATS, although the sign game was really picked up in ETS2 with Iberia.
