Forgive me if this has been commented on before, but it appears a recent patch to the 1.45 OB added Montana license plates to AI vehicles!

Also as a sidenote, this is NOT the current default license plate of Montana, which is this design. You do still see this 90s design a lot in Montana though, and can still be ordered, and I honestly prefer it. It has a very retro vibe. Also, I'm a huge fan of Montucky Cold Snacks which has a design inspired by the old license plate design.

Texas AI vehicles still are using the New Mexico license plates, btw.

Ah man, I put this thread together a while ago to help update on the plates. Maybe SCS just liked those 90’s plates better and decided to use them as the default. I’d prefer they use the blue plates but I noticed driving through Montana a few years ago that they seem to have a lot more variety in plate design than most other states. Looking forward to Montana coming soon, though!

Edit: opening the game up it looks like they don’t have separate plates for the tractors or trailers or police cars yet, so it’s likely still in the middle of being worked on in the beta. I care a lot about the plates so hopefully that’s the case.
