What exactly is Thistle? Looking at maps, I don’t even see a settlement.
But yeah appears like Provo would need a bit of a rework. Not sure if it would fit in, even if Powerhouse Road were removed. There’s a bit of a straight before the US-6 canyon starts, but not sure if they would be able to make a junction there.

Thistle is a ghost town. But only a few houses at Thistle survived a landslide. Here is one.

north part where US-89 meets US-6 close to Provo, that, as far as I can see, is not possible.
Using Powerhouse Road as a fictional connection, could be the only possibility.
Unless routing the road away from US-89. Something like this https://www.google.com/maps/dir/40.0826 ... 92!1m0!3e0

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/39.6828 ... m2!4m1!3e0 could have been an alternative. But I'm not sure there is any good place for Exit 222 on I-15.

Regarding Thistle, recommended reading -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thistle,_Utah

@Shiva I think if they were to route the road away from US 89, they'd send it up UT 28 to Nephi and build an interchange there with I-15. Although if they do build US 89 through the Sanpete Valley, I'd like to see Ephraim or Manti added as a deliverable city.

UT 28 connects I-15 to US-89 is what goes around Mt. Nebo I believe and add Nephi little scenery along I-15 town alt alternative to US-89.

Could shift exit 188 and 178 little to south to fit exit 222 where there school bus and construction yard could use that location to fit exit 222.

I don’t think the road over Nephi is interesting, it’s very close to US-50 to Scipio.

Thanks for the link to the article, didn’t know about this place’s history. I don’t think it would be hard to implement Thistle in ATS, but yes the north end of US-89 remains a problem.

It's where Watsch Range starts its southern most tip add Nephi and exit 222 it's possible to add, but optimization nightmare, so scs may not bother with it certainly can't blame them.

Onagerlinn, Ephraim or Manti? I'm not sure they would even be scenery?
The distance on US-89, would be similar to the distance between Kanab UT and Page AZ.

Sadly, I think that we might be best, without that part of US-89.

Has anyone suggested the addition of SR-150 in the north (connecting to Evanston) plus SR-24, 95, and 12 in the big gap in the southeast part of the state? Not sure if they are truck routes irl, but looking at the map of Utah, it appears they would fit with the scale.

The 12/24/95 network has been discussed to death, it's definitely something people want to see, myself included. Now the 150 is an interesting idea, since it's a very scenic road that goes over Utah's highest mountain pass (Bald Mountain Pass, at 10,715 feet). Maybe whoever did Going to the Sun could do the 150, and UT 9 through Zion as well.

Furthermore, I consider that I-80 across Nevada must be redone next.
