[REL] Peterbilt 359 - RELEASE!

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

@Outlaw Transport
Please don't lose interest and abandon this project. I say that wirh a very selfish personal motive. When I was much younger I had an opportunity to buy a 359 with the oval Corvette style dash, my dream truck at the time. It was a flat top with a 63" sleeper. Someone told me, don't do it because the truck had a number of issues. So, I never did get my dream truck. I'm almost 75 now, in poor health on fixed income, I will never own another truck but I would dearly love to see that truck in this game. ;)
Thank you.

Don't worry brother, I will finish this thing! Let me know if you have any requests on specific details, I'd love to pay tribute to the 359 that escaped you!

Anyways, here are some interior updates;

Decided this truck will have power windows retrofitted. The game mechanics and sound effects don't really support wind up windows all that well and it seems like a realistic and very common upgrade on 359s still on the road.

Spicer Twin Sticks anyone? (colors very much WIP)

This is looking good! Very nice attention to detail with the leather snakeskin texture on the lower panels. Will some of the rocker and toggle switches be animated for the usual functions (Jake brake, diff lock, parking brake, etc.) ?

Now, the only issues you'll face are ones that result from any broken mods. :mrgreen:
You can write almost any way you want, and you might make yourself understood.
But, if you don't use standard English properly, you would also help people understand that you aren't well educated.

Twin sticks, nice touch. The 359 I wanted to buy didn't have them but I drove trucks back in the day that did. 🙂

Edit: about the only feature I'd like to see is the reverse lights on the sleeper like you did on the Western Star. Thanks 😊

Looks great 👍🏻
Will this truck have a working odometer? There’s two paid mods of this truck available that for some reason don’t have a odometer and it bugs me. I just like to see how many miles I’ve driven.

Long ago, a friend of mine saw an old Mack with those and said they were called "Suicide Shift". Asked him why and he said, "because you'd have to use your right hand for one shifter and then loop your arm through the steering wheel to use the other shifter at the same time". Would you say that's accurate? :lol:

Absolutely accurate. lol
You can do it one handed but you need to be right on top of the rpm's by using your throttle. I think people around here call it floating the gears. Driving a twin stick is a full time job! lol
