Re: About the mileage signs in ETS2 1.44 Open Beta
I really hope there will be more mileage signs in the future update.

Tbh all I want is Welsh language signs when Wales/ UK eventually get reworked. The fact they did it in Spain with Basque and Catalan gives me some hopeUnderscore_101_ wrote: ↑26 Apr 2022 17:50 Not sure if they're seeing Wales as a separate country atm.
Wales, Scotland and England all fall under UK, at least in 1.43 that was the last time I extracted the def files.
They aren't even in the recommended identifiers for countries.

Totally agree, think they will, Austria gives me some hope that future reworks will be of a great standard.

In fact Spanish roads show two different uses for both Catalan and Basque, because there's two region that uses both languages in their roads signs but in different ways IRL and the game depicts that. So, they have the intention to depict that kinds of things right; but they still are foreign to those countries. If we give them the insight a native person can have it helps them to do it right. It's about being vocal enough on the appropriate places so, when the moment arrives, they find the needed info.tomprice98 wrote: ↑27 Apr 2022 16:11Tbh all I want is Welsh language signs when Wales/ UK eventually get reworked. ^In the Iberia DLC there are signs in Galician, too, although not many of them. The 'Peaxe' signs before the toll gates come to mind.

True; I didn't mentioned it because I didn't remember none of those at that moment.

I noticed the mileage signs In the UK are wrong it’s in Kilometres instead of Miles cos in the UK and Northern Ireland we Use MPH while Republic of Ireland uses Kilometres even though Irelands not in the game yet

Well, it seems there haven't been any new mileage signs with the 1.45 Open Beta. I hope they still may be added in future versions, since there are noticeable differences in the frequency of these signs depending on the country.

Re: About the mileage signs in ETS2 1.44 Open Beta
Playing ETS 2 for the first time in a period of 2013 or 2014, I always noticed all missing details on the world map, including poorly built asphalt roads, too few, too narrow and not widened freeways/expressways and highways. In addition, there was no thought at all on adding of European mileage signs and road information signs along with others. Unfortunately, I had to deal with watching of poorly located urban and non-urban buildings and rural zones. Not all neighborhoods correspond to the real locations of individual places in European countries. Placing of too few road signs of all countries meant that everything deviated from the real immersion into (the) real world of truck driving.
If earlier these things had been thought about sensibly from the beginning of the release of this computer game, then to this day we would have all dreamt details of the map along with mods and certainly everyone would be proud that it is so that it is the expected realism like among others from Google Map.
One part of people will consequently wait for the addition of individual packages of above-mentioned signs in upcoming updates. And second part of them will not wait at all for those slow changes and will almost demand quick and immediate action for not only rebuilding of areas and textures, but perhaps addition of licensed old-fashioned trucks to the game.
