I recall someone -- can't remember who -- who suggested that Davido's team start working on a full-blown rebuild of Nevada after they finish Montana, while the Texas superteam splits into Oklahoma and Louisiana. I actually wouldn't mind this, as it would get a huge chunk of the rebuild out of the way and provide a quality connection between the rebuilt areas of California and the newer DLCs. I've always been on team "Move East" regarding the rebuild, if you will, and just getting the whole of Nevada out of the way real quick would be fantastic. Plus, Nevada is fairly similar to what Davido's team has already been doing with WY/MT; brown, desolate, some mountains, and a few cities...possibly Las Vegas 3.0? Then after Nevada is done, start the Arizona rebuild. Assuming Nevada and Arizona both take about a year each, that puts us in late 2024, and by then most of California should be done and we should also have Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana & Arkansas in place as well.

It won’t. Oklahoma is just as big as Montana and needs months of work. If after Texas they want to get back to two DLCs per year, then work on whatever follows TX (probably OK) has to be started immediately after MT. So no time or resources for a Nevada rework anytime soon.

I agree that Davido's team can not go to Nevada. His team needs to get going on next Summer's dlc. Otherwise, we don't get a Summer map. That could potentially turn into another year like Wyoming and bring one state. Oklahoma is more like Washington though, not Montana. Montana has more area to cover but Oklahoma has more lane miles. In ATS, lane miles don't mean much but the area that SCS covers varies due to scale. But I'd imagine Oklahoma is similar to Washington being small and dense.

Nevada needs to wait at least until Texas is done. There are 2 teams worth of people there obviously. Notice how we haven't heard anything from the Colorado team? Pavel always said he wanted 20-25 on Texas. That's ETS2 map size team. Once Texas is done, people can go back to the rebuild team in which they were taken from. Nevada could actually get done faster than California if 8-9 people are in it. Much simpler state. So it might not be a bad idea to let California stay phased and let a full team knock out Nevada. I bet it could be done in 8-10 months. That's how long it took for Wyoming and Nevada is less complicated than Wyoming imo. Take Reno and Vegas out and you have Elko and Winnemucca as the largest cities. They are smaller than anything we got in Wyoming. But the team might increase those cities since there is more space.

Once Nevada is done, they they go back to California. But the key part to redoing Nevada first is that it removes the quality gap. I makes zero since to me to complete California, travel thru a crappy Nevada and back to goo quality. The order should be redo adjacent to good quality to make it good quality. In this case, Nevada. Arizona is decent enough to come after a completed California though. It the most bearable base map.

Two teams in Texas right now and one in Montana then small team for the rebuild. Four teams total they spilt Texas team into two one works on Oklahoma which is Washington size state around 3500 to 4000 in game road miles and second team works on Kansas. The third team works on Nebraska which can get completed end of 2023 or early 2024. Think Oklahoma June 2023 release and Kansas September 2023 and Nebraska in October 2023. There is 3500 of in game roads in each state so its like getting three Utah DLC in one year. California rebuild think close to 2/3 will be completed by the end of 2023. Once Texas is released they have more room for flexibility with updates and contnent especially regarding the map.

they get rid of rocky mountains finally ! Flat areas, straight roads, cornfields! They can move faster. 2 teams in TX and 1 the Montana's. Montana's approach from Dakotas, TX's divided 2 comes from south. people dont like C shape so am I. However, this C only compose of 1 column not more than 1.It would be tolerable. If not C shape, then reaching Florida asap is another option.2 options has advantages and disadvantages on their own.

I like @angrybirdseller's thinking. 2023 could indeed be a 3 map year with Washington sized states. I like more money for SCS and more maps for us. OK, KS, NB is good. In the mix could be Arkansas and Louisiana too. At this point, we don't know the direction SCS will take. But mannnnnn, I can't wait to see what that direction is.

Whether we get a stair stepped map or columns, both are keeping the map boxed and not L shaped. No L or C shape map for me. The interstate that run North/South connects up with more interstates running East to West a lot more the further East we go. The Great Plains don't feature a lot of interstates so smaller establishments to map. The GP's should move fairly quickly.

1 north, 2nd west, 3rd between.
+ filling up the inbetween.

I think you meant East for no.2. I've said the same....a Northeast team. This is how they pull off a stair stepped map.

Yeah, I meant north, east and inbetween.
Brain a bit tired.
My prediction of the map release, that I made 29 december 2019.
It is now off, due to Texas. I had it as a 2021 map. And Oklahoma as 2022.
Montana 2022, that will be right.
For 2023, I had KS, LA and AR.
2024, I had NE, MS and MO
2025, SD, IA and AL.
This with 3 smaller teams.
I'll write the 2026 too. ND, FL and MN.
Bridging the gap, aka 2027. GA, IL, and TN+KY.
Hmm, can take the rest too.
2028, WI, SC+NC and IN+OH.
2029, MI, Virginias+DE+MD+DC
2030, PA+NJ, NY and New England. There I think I put PA, NJ and NY, into 1 pack. And New England into another.

And again, I'm forgetting to push the "Submit" button.
