Re: Cummins ISX/X15 Straight pipe sound (Version 3.0 Released with 4 variants)

I'm trying to get my Cummins timeline correct in my head. Do you agree that these are the correct years for the different ISX/X15 engine models?
  • ISX CM870 as of 2001
  • ISX EGR CM870 as of 2004
  • ISX CM2250 as of 2010
  • X15 as of 2017

  • X15 as of 2017
2001: CM570 (aka Signature 600)
2002: CM870 (all CM870s has EGR from factory but deletes are popular)
2008: CM871 (added DPF as a EPA2007 X series engine)
2010: CM2250 (EPA2010 with SCR added)
2016: X15 (upgraded replacement for CM2250)
Where is my mind?

Hi @SlavJerry : I've been driving with the version 4 sounds and they are a big departure from the v3 sounds. But I would to know where you are going with these sounds. the v4 sounds are much lower volume than the v3 sounds. The CM870 EGR in v3 was loud! and the engine brake would rattle doors and scare little animals :-). But in v4, even with the volume sliders all the way to the right, the sounds are almost at a normal, regular, ISX level.

Maybe it is an idea to separate the straight pipe versions from the normal engines, just so that the straight pipe version can be mixed at a higher sound level?

@thesimp my newer mods are made to work the best with engine, exhaust and turbo volume slider to max, so that's why
