Crashing Randomly with no Apparent Reason - (SOLVED)

#1 Post by SirLagNutz » 07 Aug 2022 15:52

Need some assistance as have both ETS2 and ATS and both appear to just crash randomly when playing. Can happen either in the pause menu or whilst driving. I've removed all mods, started a fresh new profile and install to no avail. My game.log file doesn't appear to give any indication as to what happens when it crashes.

Am running Windows 11, Nvidia GTX 1060, i7 and all drivers updated.
Have tried both games in mixture of 64 and 32 bit, DX11 and OpenGL with all doing same thing.
Anyone have any ideas as am loving the games just annoying the crashing is? Thank you

Try setting these to 0 in your config file

00:00:04.598 : uset cf_asus_aura "1"
00:00:04.598 : uset cf_razer_chroma "1"

Thank you for the suggestion but still crashing at various points. Seems to be more stable when using OpenGL compared to Direct X 11. Have tried disabling both and then just disabling the Asus option on its own (I do have razer peripherals so should be fine enabled) but not fully fixed it seems

After your next crash, provide a new game log and we'll have another look.

Thank you for the help

Just had it crash again, was driving as normal, saw top left autosave and then froze and closed itself

Log uploaded here - https://pastebin.com/t30RRrQ2

Am listening to internet radio via ETS2 if that has any bearing on the fault?

It's not the internet radio as just tried again without using the radio at all and still crashed so can rule that one out 🙂
Log for that crash uploaded too here if it helps - https://pastebin.com/TBQCsfKM

Crashed whilst driving in ATS too with log taken and uploaded here - https://pastebin.com/jHFwV3V6

Admittedly this does have a couple of mods installed but I don't think these should have any bearing on this issue based on ETS2 crashing without any mods

Let me know any further ideas as it's frustrating when playing

May have fixed this after putting it back to DX11 and checking the logs for similar people with same error.
Issue looks to have been down to my GPU overclock with MSI afterburner. Have disabled/put the overclock back to stick settings and so far no crashing so hopefully that was it. Cheers for the help
